Because it's needed - Are you a coke or a pepsi?

I'm a Diet Coke.  I'm one of those people that will order a diet coke and when they ask "is pepsi ok?' I say no and order water.

NOPE. I don't do pop (soda for you non-midwesterners) at all. Ever. It tastes like gross liquid sugar, and not much of anything else. No thank you.

I prefer Coke, if only Pepsi is available I will drink it. I also use the word coke to refer to any version of cola. I blame my father for that.

I don't drink soda often, but if I had to choose, Pepsi Max. I enjoy a good ole iced tea, with tons of ice, no lemon, and with mint in it.

Typically, I prefer coke.  But every once in a while, pepsi sounds way better.  I'm in the minority of humanity in thinking that Diet Coke is perhaps the most disgusting tasting beverage ever invented.  Diet Pepsi is fine though.

I don't understand how McDonalds fountain Coke is better than elsewhere, but it is. I've made many a stop just for coke. Especially with a hangover. My coworkers know that if I come into work in the morning with a McDonalds Coke, I had a good night.

My mom is from Indiana.  She's lived in NY for 36 years and still calls it pop.  I give her so much shit for it.

I agree, it is the greatest ever.

I'm going to a movie theater tomorrow night that apparently has a coke machine with 100 different flavors in it.  I'm intrigued.

Fountain Diet Coke is like a gift from the Gods. Can and bottle, while good, is just not the same. H has learned diet coke is my hangover cure and one of the very few things that will make me feel human again.

If I'm having a rough day, my FI knows to order me in a baked ziti and a fountain diet coke from the italian place we like (one of the few places that will deliver fountain soda to my apartment.)

Diet coke is life. Pepsi makes me stomach upset. I get water or iced tea at restaurants that don't have coke products.

One of my best friends lives in DC and is CONSTANTLY making fun of me for pop, the way I pronounce bag (bayyygg), and the fact that Chicago is "the city" (Does any other city really matter?). Hahahaha.

I am right there with you @cafarrie! I HATE diet coke. I will drink regular coke if it is all that is available but diet can kiss my ass.

 

One of my BFFs is legit addicted to diet coke. She has a huge stash on hand at all times. She has a problem.

It was diet Coke when I drank pop. Now rarely anything other than water. Can't drink it anymore even if I wanted to. After almost 2 years clean, it's just gross to me now.

If it's that Coke Freestyle machine it's not that good. 

Agree with the bolded. The grocery store I worked in had one and the novelty wore off quickly. In reality, there's like 6 different flavors for the diet coke and it makes it tasty super syrupy. The rest is just Coke products, like powerade, mr. pibb, etc.
