Are there any August 2015 brides on the board yet? I'm getting married 8/15 and would love to chat/plan with other brides.

Not quite August, but July 2015 bride over here. Seems so close yet so far! Any set plans yet?

That's close enough! We only have the ceremony booked. I just ordered save the dates. I guess we need to decide where to host the reception. How long have you been planning? How much have you accomplished?

Let's see..I've been planning since Julyish and I have changed my mind a thousand times but sent down deposits so I couldn't switch stuff anymore.I have the black chicken doing photography, mandalay bay for ceremony, dinner, and suite cocktail reception. Mother is a vegas local so she is taking care of DOC duties and gifting us the booze, bartender, Dj, and snacks for the cocktail reception. Haven't quite figured out hair and makeup and cake. I have sent out invites. Where are you doing your ceremony?

The ceremony is at Caesars Palace. I'm looking at reception sites but will probably end up using a restaurant in CP. However, the suite cocktail reception sounds like a great idea. My ceremony is at 7pm. I wonder if we can pull off the ceremony, dinner, followed by a suite cocktail/sweets reception. We'll probably have 40-50 guests (coming from East coast).

Same about 45 guests from Boston, Chicago, N.Y., and Puerto Rico. If it's in your budget I think ceremony, sit down restaurant dinner, and cocktail reception is the way to do it. You kindve get the best of both worlds.
