yesterday morning, as I was getting ready for my EMT practical exam, I checked my email and found out that my cousin's husband had died of a massive heart attack the night before. My mom and my cousin are really close, but since my parents were traveling, she couldn't get a hold of my mom. Since I knew where my parents were staying, I called her to let her know what had happened, and to call my cousin right away.
The coroner told my cousin that the heart attack was so sudden and severe that he was dead before he hit the ground.
She's been through so much (losing her mom to breast cancer, and surviving breast cancer herself), that I can't even imagine how hard this will hit her. They've only been married a couple of years.
Then she found out that he had absolutely no legal papers at all. Lesson to all, make sure you have your will, last wishes, etc, and let your loved ones know where they are!
