non denominational church - North Jersey / NY Area

Hi All,

My finance and I are not very religious, and are looking for a non-denominational church for our ceremony.  I was raised Catholic (baptized, confirmed, etc) and my finance was Baptized but never confirmed.  We do not want a traditional Catholic type of mass but like the idea of a shorter church ceremony.

We also do not want to go through the entire pre-cana process so thought of either non-denom or possibly a reformed Christian church.

Does anyone know of any non-denominational churched in the Hudson Valley NY or Bergen County NJ?  What should we expect? Can we still have a priest marry us there?

    Congratulations on getting engaged!  :-)   No, a Catholic priest cannot validly marry you in that kind of location and without pre-Cana.  (If you want to ask any questions on the Catholic board, there are so many awesome ladies there, by the way.  The link is under Cultural Weddings.)
