Are you planning to get married this summer and hoping to
have a casual, picnic reception? My husband and I were married last August in Seattle and did just that! Let us help you! For about a year beforehand, I scoured Craigslist, Amazon, and enlisted friends
and family to check out their local thrift stores hoping to procure the perfect
collection of picnic baskets and blankets, and now that we’re finally hitched,
we don’t need this stuff anymore. We’d love to pass everything along as a single
lot to a nice couple who will put all to good use!
We are selling:
·
Qty. 15 -
58” by 58” square gingham table clothes in green, yellow, and orange. There
are five of each color, and although they are pretty thin, we used these as
picnic blankets rather than table clothes. In the interest of full disclosure,
they have been washed since our reception, but a few may still have grass stains.
·
Qty. 8 - Assorted
Picnic baskets. These are all different shapes, sizes, and colors with
varying details and decoration.
·
Qty. 1 - 5.5
gallon Behrens Galvanized Steel Tub. This rustic looking tub is water tight
and will hold several bottles of wine or other beverages as well as ice to keep
them chilled.
·
Qty. 16 –
TAG hanging, glass tea light lanterns in green and yellow. These are a nice
decorative touch for any yard or garden!
·
Numerous
LED tea lights “candles.” There are a few dozen of these and at least a dozen
of them are in good working order with nearly unused battery life.
·
Numerous salt
and pepper shaker sets made from mini Bonne Maman jars. To be honest, I’m
too lazy to count these. There were two dozen to start with, and we gave a
couple sets away to guests who really liked them. I know that there are at
least eight sets left (one for each basket).
We’d really prefer to sell everything to one couple, in-person, as a single lot! I procured these items one by one over the course of a year to
fit our color scheme and picnic theme, and I really think they all complement
each other quite well. For a mere $125 you can have it all and save yourself hours
of work! Planning a wedding is a huge headache, and there are so many details to
cover. Why not take advantage of the searching and running around that I’ve
already done? You’ll have plenty left to do on your own, trust me!
I also have matching dessert stands made from re-purposed china and a champagne, ivory and gold hair accessory I never ended up using. Please email me if you're interested in learning more about either of these items for an additional price.
