Bora Bora

Has anyone been to Bora Bora? Bora Bora is one of the places we are interested in for our honeymoon, and we are wondering what type of honeymoon it would be? It looks like it is a place for relaxation. Are there any adventurous things to do? And what is the nightlife like?

Any information is appreciated!

I've been many times!!! When I go, I usually just lounge around on my OWB deck or on a raft in the lagoon, but you can do a 4x4 jeep tour, lagoon circle island tour (snorkeling, shark and ray feeding), or the shark and ray feeding on its own, parasailing, jet skiing, diving, to name a few. It's a very small island, and most of the resorts are on islands surrounding the main island, so you have to make it a point to explore. Just keep in mind that the excursions are pricey, so factor that into your budget.

edit- nightlife- there is none. Because you are out in the sun all day, you are tired by 9pm and don't really miss not doing anything. Each resort has a bar area, but almost everything is dead by 10pm.

Awesome thanks!!! I am obsessed with those over water huts, and I would love to stay at one. That's a good point about being out in the sun all day, I always underestimate how tired I get at the end of the day on vacation.

This.  We were exhausted by 9pm each night.  We brought our own mesh lounge raft things and it was one of my favorite things to do.....just floating in the lagoon.

Depending on how much time you have, you can combine it with another island.  We did Moorea before heading to Bora Bora.  We got a deluxe garden bungalow with plunge pool.  I feel we were a bit more "active" there.....we rented a car for the day, drove around the island and went off property to different restaurants each night .  And we saved a little money because it was cheaper.
