My dress finally came in!!! A few more alterations are needed, but I'm so happy! I'm going to buy a sash to define the waist a bit, but I don't want it to be sparkly and blingy... I want it to have more of a "rustic" feel... any suggestions on a sash that would look good?

(EDIT to add: I also just noticed that you can totally see my bra in this... sorry! Haven't purchased the correct undergarments yet. :P )

Bought this dress from Lightbox (with a dark green trim, not red like in the picture). I was hesitant to order online but the price was decent and I gave them custom measurements. Not a fan of strapless but I know straps can always be added. Hopefully it looks good and won't need to be altered too much. Ask me in a month how it went LOL. 

I'm thinking about pairing it with green gloves to give it a more elegant look.

Maybe a velvet or grosgrain ribbon? Something like this or this?

Finally got my dress!

I ended up giving into my dress regret (long story short, I bought my dress online without trying anything on first, and hated the way it looked on me. I was also sad that I never got to try anything on with my mom). My mom took me to a shop in my hometown that was closing and advertising incredible deals. I had so much fun trying on gowns in front of my mom! And then I finally tried on a discontinued Pronovias Bazan from 2012--soft, delicate ivory tulle with lace appliques and subtle beading. So gorgeous! I fell in love immediately and started to cry! The feeling I never got from my old dress. Can't wait to see my fiance's face as I walk down the aisle in this stunner!

I finally got the model number to look up a picture of my dress! It has been at the store since I purchased it because I do not trust myself to keep it safe haha!

Mine is in ivory, I'm adding a sweetheart neckline, and cap sleeves from the thirteen feet I have to take off the bottom from being so short! I absolutely love it!
