Sons of Anarchy *definite spoilers*

All I can say is holy fuck. I mean I knew it would happen I just didn't think it would happen that way. Wow...

Re: Sons of Anarchy *definite spoilers*

  • I haven't watched it, but couldn't stand it and read the show recap on Entertainment Weekly.  I wanted it to happen to the one character, the other one just wanted to belong so badly, and it probably was a relief for life to be over.

I just hope Tig and Venus make it out alive, lol.

I haven't watched it either. I just can't help but spoil it for myself. Off to find the recap!!

ETA: Sweet Jesus. I can't wait to watch tonight.

  • I watched last night - Juice completely broke my heart.  I was so mad at him for covering up for Gemma, but all the raping and stuff - he didn't deserve any of that.  He was too sweet of a person to realize how much everybody was manipulating him, and enough was enough.  I'm glad he got to go out on his own terms, but oh man, his face when he asked Tully to just let him finish his pie - tears.

Ha I didn't cry until this scene, and I'm a big crier. Poor guy. I really was surprised by Juice's death. I know that he was a rat and had done some shady things in the past (the whole coke thing and killing that prospect) but I think internally he was a good guy, and I felt like Sutter would let him live.

I wasn't surprised by Wayne, but was very sad. Even FI was upset about that.

I'm not surprised Gemma died, but I was surprised that Jax did it. I felt like a son killing his mom would be a really hard things for fans to get around. Which brings me to my next thought:

I feel strongly that Jax will die/be killed in the finale. He told the other club presidents that he'd make sure the vote went the right way, and he's made arrangements for Wendy and his kids to go with Nero. He's definitely going to die. If he doesn't, him killing Gemma would only eat away at him forever.

IA -  Whenever Jax told the other presidents that he'd make sure the vote went the right way - he's totally planning his own death.  I think that's the only way it can go though - he's become a monster over the last couple of seasons and I don't think he is redeemable and for sure won't be able to stop the mini-monster that Abel is going to become if he stays as his father.

It's so funny how Wendy has become their fallback on everything - she's come a long, long way since the beginning of the show.

Wayne was ready to go - really, the only thing he had was worshipping Gemma.  He had nothing else left at all to live for.

  • I miss the good ol' days when Jax and Opie were BFFs and Clay was a good guy (or at least a semi-friendly badass) and their only concern was the Mayans.

I'll be grossly disappointed if he doesn't! Gemma had to go, but I was really hopping she'd kill herself and spare her son. And poor Wayne - he was one of (the only?) "good guy", but he was in way over his head and I wasn't terribly shocked to see him go. I was shocked that neither Jax or Gemma seemed to give two shits about his dead body just hanging out in the living room while they chit chatted. And I definitely think it was time for Juice to go - they drug that out too long IMO. Glad he got to go on his own terms and reclaim a bit of control on his spiraling life.

    Now, my questions:
    - what was Nero doing in the garage?
    - why was Jax limping when he got up (very beginning of the episode)? Seemed insignificant but they made a point of focusing on it for some reason.
    - what's the connection b/w JT's manuscript and the bylaw Jax wants removed?
    - what's up with the homeless chick from Charming showing up at the rest stop where Jemma was?
    - what's up with Rat's girlfriend? She's a minor character that they are giving valuable air time to in the final episodes.

I've got my theories on stuff and can't freakin' wait to see how it's all wrapped up!

All of this. They keep dropping little clues about things so I hope it's all laid out in the last episode. I also want Chibbs and that other cop who's name escapes me to make it out alive and together.

  • Now, my questions:
    - what was Nero doing in the garage?

I think he went there just to get Unser to intervene and stop Jax from killing Gemma.  Didn't catch any other implied meaning to it.

    - why was Jax limping when he got up (very beginning of the episode)? Seemed insignificant but they made a point of focusing on it for some reason.

I wondered the same thing.  Either it's significant, or Charlie Hunnam hurt his leg and really was limping and the writers thought that it would be noticed and weird if it wasn't addressed.

    - what's the connection b/w JT's manuscript and the bylaw Jax wants removed?

Not sure if there is a connection.  I think the unspoken bylaw is that they don't patch in black people.  Jax seemed to be trying to get the Grim Bastards to join the club a few episodes ago.  I think he just wants to read his dad's manuscript again before he dies as a part of making his peace.

    - what's up with the homeless chick from Charming showing up at the rest stop where Jemma was?

Just a nice little nod to fans, I thought.  Probably some symbolism too.  She's shown up when Gemma has had other crises in the past.

    - what's up with Rat's girlfriend? She's a minor character that they are giving valuable air time to in the final episodes.

Meh.  I think she's just the baby sitter.

I've got my theories on stuff and can't freakin' wait to see how it's all wrapped up!
If you couldn't tell, I think Jax is planning on accepting the mayhem vote and is just trying to line things up so that his club is in the best position once he dies.  Honestly, it's about the only redeeming thing he has left that he can do.

  • Earlier in this season (or maybe it was last season) Jax was writing his own manuscript for Abel. I wonder if that will come up again and if he's going to leave it with JT's things.

  • @melbenso - not Wayne's garage, Jax's garage. Disappeared in there looking for "tools" as soon as he found out that Jax knew where Gemma was. He was being all sorts of sneaky-like.

And I agree, the bylaw has something to do with it being a white-only club. But I think it ties back to Juice some how and Jax wanted to honor him for coming clean about Tara's death.

Definitely think GF is more than just a babysitter. Sutter is too calculated for that.

  • I was so sad about Wayne and Juice. I always had a soft spot for Juice. I honestly though Wayne would kill Gemma. Idk why I thought that but I really did. I do think Jax will die. I think that he should at this point. He became the person he was trying not to be in the early seasons. I love what Sutter has done here though. Instead of glorifying this kind of lifestyle he has shown how is destroys people. Go Sutter!

Not show related but I think Katey Segal and Kurt Sutter have been married so long and have spent so much time together that hey are starting to look alike a little. They even had the same glasses in the aftershow. Lol

If you are talking about the garage at Gemma's house, I think he was getting some things to remember her by, maybe?

I think it was that the votes would/could be made anonymously instead of an open vote.
