Reviews Masterpiece Cuisine, Current events, Wicked Spoon, Bellagio, Total Rewards Program 11/29/14

Hi All,  Wow Vegas is an amazing place to get married!  It was awesome and exhausting all at the same time.  So glad I found these boards, I learned a lot.  Here are my reviews.  If you have questions let me know,  happy to help all the future brides!   Viva Las Vegas Baby!  We had a blast!!!

Checklist-

Make sure you have a checklist that is not just in your head.  Since we got a ride to the airport I almost left my dress in the our other car….  Forgetting your wedding dress could be a drag!

Shoes-  wear all of your shoes in advance!  I had worn my wedding shoes for weeks and had been dancing in them to make sure I wasn’t going to kill myself dancing in the flashmob but I hadn’t worn the shoes I was wearing to the meet and greet!  Huge mistake as those really tore up my feet.  I also forgot my flats the night of the wedding… ouch

Gift Bags-  I think I’d skip the gift bags and just have a bowl of souveniers for people to pick up if they want them at the meet and greet.  We spent a whole day running around Vegas shopping and then an evening stuffing the bags.  They were nice but not sure it was worth all that time!

Southwest airlines-

I purchased a separate seat for the dress and that worked out great.  What they didn’t tell me was that when you purchase that seat it does not entitle you to bring more bags so I ended up paying the $75 extra bag fee for my extra bag of welcome bag stuff.

Masterpiece Cuisine- Meet and greet drop off catering

Working with them was great.  Got a call the morning of confirming the time etc…  Unfortunately due to how busy the elevators were they were a little late setting up but it all worked out.  The food was great. The bartender was hit too.  It was definitely the right thing to do!  No one got stuck behind the bar and it was a nice touch to the party. They didn’t tell me but I guess PH is a bit picky about having outside catering but it all worked out.

Current Events- http://www.eventslv.com/

On Tuesday before Thanksgiving we decided that we needed to rent 3 stand up tables, a cooler and some other stuff.  Called Current events, and since they were closed Thurs to Sunday due to the Thanksgiving holiday they delivered it all Wednesday and didn’t pick up until Monday.  So that worked out great!  Could have been a problem though had I waited any longer to contact them due to the holiday.  I also rented 3 lights from them, they set them up as green and purple and a party set up too.  They looked great but took about an hour to set up.  Pick up and drop off were right on schedule.  It was great to have all that party stuff for several days as we ended up entertaining in the suite quite a bit and we only had to pay for a 1 day rental!

Wicked Spoon  Thanksgiving Dinner

20 people –  reserved through Rose @ group dinning

There was some confusion when my inlaws went to check in, they were told they didn’t have a reservation.  So that a couple of panicked text messages later they straightened it out.   The food was great but it was really crowded.  They’d reserved 2 tables for use but the entire place was packed.  It looked like they’d stuffed a bunch of extra tables in there.  I was glad we had the reservation and paid their “premium holiday pricing” as it was a 2 hour plus wait at 6pm on Thanksgiving.  The extra couple of hundred dollars was worth it to be able to seat that large of a group at once!

Bellagio- Originally booked the Terraza to have the ceremony but their flowers, photographer were so expensive I changed my mind.  I also had a problem with the view from the terrace (the trees are blocking most of the fountains) and they would’t trim them.  So we cancelled there and went with Roland the Mobile Minister and PH instead.  Best decision ever!!

Total Rewards TR-  This is planet hollywood (and ceasars and others) frequent gambling program.  I got one of their TR credit cards several months ago which gave me Platinum status which means we skipped the long check in lines, the lines at Starbucks or restaurants at any of the TR casinos etc.  I even checked in my 80 year old friends so they didn’t have to wait in the regular line!  It was totally worth it to have the status.

Congrats!! Question about Total Rewards.. So thats the name of the company doing my room blocks, I am marrying At Flamingo, but had options to block at PH and Ceasars. I am working with Adam but there was no mention of a card offering extra perks. Where/how did you obtain the card? Costs? Thanks!
