Selecting a Venue

Hey PDX Ladies!

We are trying to decide on a venue and have narrowed it down to 3 near-inclusive locations.

The Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom $35/pp
The Acadian Ballroom $32/pp
The Fairgate Inn (Camas) $34-39

All are within $2,000 of each other and are similar in what they offer. Has anyone worked with any of these vendors for good or bad? TIA!!

I both worked and attended a wedding at the Adrianna Hill last December.  It's a lovely space, and I was impressed with the speed and efficiency with which the staff turned the room around between ceremony and reception.  The food was good (typical buffet fare).  My only negative was watching the bar staff sneak candy out of the couple's candy buffet....

I have not heard good things about the Acadian.

I used the Acadian for my wedding and my suggestion is do NOT use them.  They seem really nice at first and during the planning process. They are my only regret from that day.  The food was good, but the service was really bad.  The owners son was in charge of our day and he was a jerk.  Really, I would go with your other options.

We had our wedding at the Adrianna and I cannot rave enough about it. The coordinator was PHENOMENAL, and they worked with us to figure out transportation after it was booked we and they realized it was the Starlight parade. (We ended up having a police escort through certain streets to get from the ballroom to the hotel afterwards). The coordinator made my day really relaxed, and took care of all the little things. I really can't rave enough about working with Jessie. The venue was so beautiful, and we would definitely choose it again if we were going to do it over.

Thank you all for the advice!! I LOVE the Adrianna... And I had doubts about the Acadian, and I think we're passing on the Fairgate because they require you to book all 8 suites in the B&B.
