Gobo lighting behind head table?

Has anyone used gobo lighting behind their head table as their backdrop?  Does it work or does the light end up shining on the wedding party instead of the backdrop?  Does anyone have a photo of theirs?  I'd like to use a tree.  Thanks!

    It depends on where the projector is. If you're wanting a design to go all the way to the floor though, it will most likely shine on you and the wedding party. We had gobos at our wedding but my H is a lighting and sound guy.
