I hate being sick. I think I did too much the past few days, and with a coworker being sick, I ended up sick. Then, to top things off, still went out and partied this weekend, and now I'm super sick. I took a sick day from work (which I HATE doing), so I'm just laid up on the couch, with a nasal strip on my nose. Fun. I kinda want to work out later, but I don't know if that might make things worse? I plan on watching old movies on netflix for the rest of the day. How's everyones hump day going so far?

Re: Sick Day

  • I'm sorry you're sick! Is it a head cold? If so, get some Vics and rub in on your check and then soak in a hot (as hot as you can handle) tub. It makes me feel so much better. Just make sure you bring tissues! Also stock up on that OJ! I would not work out, personally.

It is dead at work today. I am so bored!

  • Hope you feel better soon pinkcow13!

Today is okay. I am actually really busy at work, and I'm lacking motivation (hence the knotting and not working). I did have a conference call get cancelled this morning, so that was exciting. I have a nail in my front passenger side tire on my car and have to take it to the tire shop after work, and I'm really not looking forward to that.
  • Troop Beverly Hills is now on Netflix, and I totally need to find time to watch that gem!

I also just found out this morning that H's cousin had her baby, which is super squeee!  And it's cute because I found out before he did - I was included on the group FB message among the women cousins, so I feel totally in the family.

I am a bit tired ... I stayed up too late last night watching "The SIsterhood" on Lifetime.  It's a reality show about 5 young women looking to become nuns.  It's like Catholic crack, but really interesting.  http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/the-sisterhood-becoming-nuns  It was really interesting following the Twitter conversation because there were so many nuns live-tweeting the show..

Otherwise, just work and finishing up our Christmas cards!
  • I hope you're better soon! Trying doing a nasal rinse/neti pot. That always helps.
  • Ugh feel better!

It's so gross in NYC today.  Blah.  Tonight we are seeing the kids for dinner as per Wednesday tradition which is awesome, but getting there, especially in shitty weather, sucks.  Penn station to the train stop in NJ, then like a 12 minute walk to my FI's car then to get the kids.  Then the whole thing in reverse!  Blah.  Might be a night to take an Uber home from NJ if it's still rainy like this.

  • I think it's a head cold @sarawifenow‌ . I have a tiny bit of Vic's left so I'll try that :) and I'll ask FI to bring me OJ. @kat1114‌ that really sucks! I always hated having to go to any sort of auto shops. Haha I love when any meetings or conference calls are cancelled! @holyguacamole79‌ is that a new show? I haven't heard of it, but it sounds fascinating! I

Yes this weather sucks. And now I think I see snow. Blech. Yes, today is definitely an Uber day! Especially if this weather gets any worse later on. Sounds like a fun Wednesday tradition, though :)

  • @pinkcow13 - yeah, it premiered the week of Thanksgiving.  It's neat because it focuses on women you wouldn't normally expect to want to become nuns.  One of them put her boyfriend "on hold" for this (and he showed up in last night's episode to protest).  Another had been engaged before.  And all of them flipped out about not wearing makeup and having to give up their cell phones.  It's really interesting, and from what I hear from other nuns on Twitter - moderately accucrate!

Wow, that's kinda crazy, now I'm intrigued! I'm going to see if it's on demand.

Yeah just saw snow out the window.  UGH.

And yeah our wednesdays are awesome, we get the kids every other weekend (and even on off weekends, we usually spend a day with them) so it's nice to see them in the middle of the week too!  will be much easier when we move in a few years without having to commute and just having them half the time!  I'm hoping tonight is a pizza night with them, it's such a pizza day today

all of the episodes are on Lifetime's website (including last night's).  There have only been 4 episodes so far.
