Wedding Woes

O-Face (and other indie body product lovers)

Have you bought from Haus of Gloi before?

I just got a bunch of samples from them, a few for me and a few for gifts.

The body emulsion in Troika and the whipped soap in Rosy Cheeked are amazing. I'm hoping the gift recipients like their stuff but if they don't, I'll take it back. The smells are divine. I also got a free sample of their perfume oil in Hearth. Not my favorite but interesting.

Re: O-Face (and other indie body product lovers)

  • I have not, but I've heard many great things about them.

I've tried the Fortune Cookie Soap company and their boxes, but I just don't use enough product to justify them.  I do love LUSH though---only a few things.  Not really indie anymore, but definitely less mainstream than Dove.

I do LOOOVEEE Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab for oils.  LOVE
  • Yeah, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has a few things I'd like to try. I may do that in the new year (I keep sneaknig things for myself into the orders I make for others).

I love Lush but the last time I was there their salespeople were just bad. Bad information on skincare, bad customer service, and not great knowledge about their own products. I haven't been there in about a year.
  • My lush standys:  Ros Argan Body Conditioner, Curly Wurly, Rose Jam body wash, and Ocean Salt scrub.

2 years ago I had none of that, now I love them all.

BPAL---I have about 8 full size, the holloweenies are to die for...and I have tons of samples.
  • I love lush, but last time I went for bath bombs, someone I vaugely knew through a CD board was selling bath bombs which 1-I wouldn't buy as gifts, because 20% of them arrived broken/crumbled (although they stayed wrapped up in tissue paper so were still usable) and 2-are, I think, a little more moisturizing than the regular lush bombs.  http://thecoconutcrush.com/

(she may have closed up because of the shipping/crushing problem)
