New Years Resolutions

Re: New Years Resolutions

  • Cut out caffeine. Cut out refined sugar, white sugar, etc UNLESS it is in alcohol. Then it can stay and be my friend.

Stop getting fat, lose weight. Do couch to 5k again at higher intensity then move on to C 2 10k.

    Manage our moneys better.
  • Is having a happy/healthy baby and not drive my DH insane a resolution?? because that's all I got... In the early fall my goal for 2015 was to cut back on shopping. But now that's not really an option. I've heard of people on TB not buying maternity clothes. Idk how they did it bc at 10 weeks. Shit is tight even though I lost 2lbs. Go figure.

  • I don't do resolutions. I feel like they just give you license to put off starting good habits until what's really an arbitrary date, and validation to quit after one slip up and wait until the next trip around the sun. Start now, and keep going even if you slip!

I'm working on paying off the last of my credit card debt now; should be done by about March. I'm hoping I'll have a new job pretty early in the year, and need to really throw myself into that and get myself back into the mode of being passionate about what I'm doing.

I don't go to the gym in January or February because it's too packed with resolutionists in brand new work out pants who don't know how to use the machines, and I don't like crowds. They inevitably fade out around Valentine's Day chocolate clearance time. I should try to get out and run during that time frame though. I hope to be knocked up pretty soon and I don't want to go into pregnancy heavier than I need to be.

  • I don't really do resolutions. But my goals for 2015 are to get my drivers licence, find a job, finish at least one of my writing projects, and keep the damn house clean.

  • I also believe that goals should be started as soon as one can. However, I also like that I get two new years every year. I like making resolutions, and I like reflecting on what I've done and who I've been over the past year. Always driving to be better. :)

We have some pretty big goals for this next year, and we've already been preparing for them:

    1. Get into a PhD program (me) OR get a house (DH).
We've both been yearning for these things for years, so dammit! one of us is going to get what we want this year.

    2. Get preggers late in the year.

    3. Making healthier choices always goes without saying.

Good luck, Ladies! Wishing you all a happy, healthy, balanced, and adventurous year filled with much love. And the strength and grace to handle whatever adversity comes your way.

Then happy I, that love and am beloved
Where I may not remove nor be removed.
