Holiday Nail Challenge

Thanks @lacqueredlover! I found the Rejuvacote on Amazon and ordered it. 

I have tried so many times to kick the acrylics, but it's such a convenience thing. I have short nail beds so hopefully it won't take too long for the ridge to grow out. 

I buffed the shit out of them to get them smooth enough to even paint. It covers up how ratty they look, for now. They're in a sad, sad state.

@maeday2 STOP BUFFERING!!!  That will make your nails even more weak because you're essentially removing layer of the nail.  Use a ridge filling base coat on top of the Rejuvacote if it's really bad (or just be like me and use glitter to cover it haha)

@lolo883 I do love the Zoya Mattes, I was glad they brought them back.  If you're a matte fan, check out ManGlaze (filthy names, I actually named one of them haha) but fantastic mattes

Ahhh, I know! But I couldn't handle the uneven surface and clumpy paint. I like the glitter solution though. Fixes everything. 

It has been literally years since I've done my own nails. They're on the upswing now, but it's only been about a week. Four months to heal these poor things.

All right y'all--short day at work means I had time to go get mah nails did. It's not "nail art," but it is pretty awesome. Looks like a disco dinosaur egg!

It's one coat of OPI "My Private Jet" and then a coat of Essie Luxe Effects in "Summit of Style." (Sorry the pics are huge. I don't know how to technology.)

My main polish loves are Man Glaze (icky names and all - best matte polish I've found), Mentality (love their holos), Nail Pattern Boldness (I'm a glitter fan, I need the Glitter Food!), Vivid Lacquer, Lyn B Designs, and Digital Nails. I typically don't bother with OPI as the brushes are not great for me (too wide), but I love the DS colors too much. CND Sticky and HK Girl top coat. If I'm doing a glitter sandwich, I'll use Sally Hanson's quick dry (red bottle, white cap) or Out The Door.

Wooooo!!! I figured out how to embed images on mobile. This year is a success.

Here's mine. Some Sally Hansen silver stuff with some gold Urban Decay glitter on my ring finger.
