Garden Vineyards

Hello Portland Brides! I was curious if anyone has any experience with Garden Vineyards in Hillsboro, OR. I looked at their site and a few real weddings from that location and I seem to really like it. I would just like to know what you all think and if any one is having or have already had a wedding there.

P.S. They have a contact address but since my engagement is two years (we are getting marriend August of 2012) I don't want to jump the gun on contacting direct people quite yet. I'm more like "window shopping" right now :)

Thanks!

I would contact them an ask for some information - knowing prices will definitely change.
Sadly, two years ahead of time isn't really that long to be looking into venues. We looked a year ahead and a lot of places were already booked.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah we want to jump ahead for planning so we can guarantee our favorite venue. Unfortunately I have tried to contact them and no reply. I'm thinking this is a sign that maybe I don't want to host my wedding there after all. I have found some wonderful locations in the last couple of weeks and very excited to go visit the locations.

I have a friend getting married and after she found out the price she changed her mind,  it is a very beautiful place but I have found better locationsfor cheaper or the same price.  It really depends on you budget.  Here are a few places I really liked:

    The Fairgate Inn

    Gray Gables Estates

    De Armond Garden Estates

The last place I gave you is the place to get married if you have large budget.  I think its much nicer than garden vineyards but everyone is different I'm really not into to vineyards so you might not like any of my ideas.  Good luck!!!

It's was one of the first places I looked at and fell in love with the place... until I got the prices.  $6k for the site fee and $120 per person.  We figured out that it would cost us about $18k to have a wedding there.

Thanks all for the replies! I have recently changed my mind about the Garden Vineyards site. After four weeks of no reply after emailing AND calling I said forget it, obiviously they don't want the business. >.<

Anyways,  I'm interested in Vineyard settings but am looking into all possible locations. I have found a few in the area and we plan on going out to locations by next month to actually see them personally. We're paying for most things on our own so our budget is a little tight (another reason Garden Vineyards is out of the question)

But all in all I appreciate all and any advice so thank you for sharing :)

I'm having my wedding at the Courtyard Marriott Norh Portland Verandah off of Marine Drive.  They have wedding packages that range in very reasonable prices.
