Crap Day Yesterday

I had a terrible day yesterday.

1) Went to the doctor with my Mom. They told us they think she has a cancerous brain tumor by her ear that is cutting off her hearing. They also think she has a degenerative heart condition of some kind, but they're not sure what so they want her to wear a halter monitor for 2 weeks. I'm freaking out.

2) My FI is miserable at his job and he's taking it out on me, but not on purpose. Good news: He passed the test for the interview at the new place, and is one of 4 people that got an actual interview in 2 hours! I'll keep you updated.

3) Screwed up some documents at work, no big deal, super easy fix. Except the guy died. Well fuck. Now I'm trying to get an exemption and it's not looking too positive right now.

Sorry friends, needed to vent. And cry a little.

Hugs. Sorry to hear about your Mom. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I know your feels about your FI. Mine was super stressed and miserable at his job until he stepped down this past October. He didn't ever try to take it out on me, but his misery made him really cranky at home. And he'd feel guilty about even taking time off which usually made the time off less fun. And he'd get super bummed about having to go to work the next day. Usually making Sunday nights and some weekday nights a total downer. The only advice I have is to try and remember it's not really about you. That's what I tried to do. If he was short or grumpy about anything, I'd try to not be bothered by it because I knew he wasn't unhappy with me.

I'm hoping for you that your FI gets his new job, because mine is a lot more fun again now that he has moved jobs. I think we both hadn't really realized how miserable it made him until the weight was lifted.
