Age gap between you and your SO, that is.

My fiancé is 8 years older than me. He graduated college before we met and it's nice being with someone who's established. The only drawback I can think of is the fact that there are probably things I didn't learn by being on my own. We started dating right when I started college, and were unofficially living together within 6 months so I do feel like I've been sheltered in some respects.
We'd been dating for 5 years when he proposed.

I never asked my parents what they thought about the age difference but they love my fiancé, and I also didn't really care when we first starting dating what they thought.

What about yall?

Edited to add: I do sort feel like I'd prefer to have kids sooner rather than later with his age. I have friends whose parents had them later in life (like, seriously awesome parents) so I don't know why I even worry about it. He could still run around with them and be the little league coach at 45. We think our timeline would be within 2 years or so of the wedding, but we'll see what happens. He's fine with waiting longer since I'm kind of just starting out in my career.

H is almost 6 months to the day older than me. I've only ever dated guys within two years of my age either way. Not a conscious decision but mainly just opportunity. My parents on the other hand are 11 years apart and I never thought it was weird.

My husband is 7 years older than me. I'm 34 and he's 41. I honestly don't ever feel there's an age gap. No one has ever mentioned our difference in ages either, I'm guessing 'cause we're kinda old :P

My FI's birthday is the day after mine. So, 1 day. I've usually dated guys close to my age, but same as cupcait said, just happenstance. I don't really think there's an issue with age difference.

Just under 10 years.  We were older when we met though, so it didn't matter as much as if we were younger.  I'm just glad he was still in his 30's when we met.  If he had said 40-something, I might have thought twice.  I specifically waited several weeks till I was pretty hooked before I asked in case he was in his 40's.

I'm about 3 years older than FI. He tends to date women older than him, and I tend to date younger men, although neither of us does it on purpose. It just kinda always happens like that.

H is 10.5 months older than I am, so the gap is pretty irrelevant. We were in the same grade level all through school.

My parents are 13 years apart. That seems a little more challenging.

The only time it's ever really been a topic of conversation in my life is in college, my sorority sisters always thought of me/introduced me as "the old married lady." It was a big fucking deal when I went out to bars. Fi never tried to hold me back from going out, but he worked 60+ hours a week and I just preferred to stay in with him 95% of the time.

My DH is 17 YEARS older than me! I really don't give a fuck about the age difference, but I certainly get some stares from time to time.

FI is about 15 months younger than me but I was born in 81 and he was born in 83.

BF us four years younger than me. When we met I was 36 and he was 32. I was happy when I found out he was over 30 because I was dine dating men on their twenties. No offense to all the lovely men in their twenties, this was a personal preference based on my experience.

FI is 10 months younger than me. But we graduated high school together. When we get married, I'll be 31 and he'll be 30.

FI is exactly 4 years and 2 days younger than me.  Sometimes I forget he is that much younger than me.  When people meet him, a lot of them think he's in his 30s.

My parents are 11 years apart also. My father will be 80 in March, and my mother will be 69 in April. DH and I are 11 months and 1 day apart. On my bday he always says that he and I are the same age for a month. Cheesy, but true.

I'm about 3 years younger, but it doesn't feel like much of an age gap to us for a couple reasons. One reason is that he and I met when we were in our mid/late-20s, and we were in similar places in our lives. The other reason is because my brother, who's only about 2 years older than I am, is the same academic year as my husband. Since I grew up considering my brother to be a peer, it's been sort of transitive that I'd see my husband as a peer, too.

FI is 13 years older than me. Honestly I usually don't notice the age gap most because I was old and boring by the time I was 17. Some of FIs band members give him shit that Im his midlife crisis or that he kicked out because I'm even younger than the groupies at their shows, but they all think I'm great for him so its all in fun.

The only time the age difference is weird is around my parents. They love FI to death, but they were super young when they had me so they are only 4 years older than him. Finding out your bf played a show at the bar your mom was working at when you were in kindergarten is a little uncomfy.
