Anyone having a bad day?

My husband forgot to put a shirt on today. He had his undershirt on while cooking breakfast and got cold, so he put his hoodie on. Then left for work without putting on his shirt. Now he's stuck in his hoodie all day. 

Hope this cheers you up, because at least all of you ladies remembered to dress yourselves this morning!

Me too! But the last conversation we had before he went to work was about how he's always hot in the office and has to use his fan. So he'll be cooking all day.

I just started showing up more casual as the months went by and no one ever said anything.

DH took this week off, so I'm bummed that I'm at work and he's sending me pictures snuggling in my heated blanket with the cat and the tv!

I needed a smile. I need this thread to be filled with happy gifs and funnies. 

FI was told he had a new job in the bag. The former emails with the hiring guy were all glitter and rainbows. All 3 interviews went superbly well. Now, while this guy is sunning on vacation he decides to drop the bad news with a cold email that ends with, "good luck with your future." 

Merry freakin' Christmas. I am crushed for him and want to go full on crazy on that Scrooge.

I'm very much off my game this morning. I think my insomnia has returned because I was awake from midnight last night until about 3am, and of course was exhausted when I had to get up and get ready for work at 5:30. Also, I woke FI up accidentally when I was rambling around the house at 2am and he asked me, "Can't you just close your eyes and go back to sleep?" Grrrrr.

Its raining outside so that made me grumpy. I pulled my hair trying to get in my vehicle so I got even more angry. I'm annoyed at FI for being from another state so we have to pack up and travel for Christmas so I dn't get to spend Christmas with my family (totally over-reacting here which is why I would never speak on this IRL. I love him regardless of where he's from). And I still work at a crappy job, which makes it worse. I need 4:30 to get here ASAP. Maybe I'm PMSing?

I left the house without shoes the other morning and had to turn around and go put some on. I had my damn house shoes on and was rushing out the door, didn't put my damn boots on when I got into the basement.

My co-worker has a story about a professor at a university she used to work at:

Apparently this was a law professor and she began to get hot during one of her lectures and so took her blazer off. . . well she had neglected to put a blouse on underneath so now she was speaking to her class in just her bra!  She looked down, realized what happened, and without missing a beat or acknowledging her wardrobe malfunction, she put her blazer back on and kept going with the lecture.

My office is always freezing so I wish I had a hoodie on haha.

I'm leaving at 1 today so I've sorta checked out from work already. It doesn't help I feel really groggy this morning.

@maeday2 I'm sorry your FI didn't get the job. That is shitty news to hear right before Christmas.

I am having a great day. Gas is $2.19, Walmart was quiet, and my dad got good medical news we were waiting on. Huzzah!

I was over emotional again last night which turned into how Fi "can't do anything right" (his words) and then a huge fight.

He left wet clothes in the washer and I need to wash a couple shirts before going to work today. I accidentally left his wet clothes on the floor without putting them back in the washer (he left them too long in there and got a little funky, which is why I didn't just dry them). My shirt didn't dry fully so now I have a damp shirt on.

I have the next four days off from work and am thinking of just going down to my parents after work today or if I should spend the night with Fi and try and mend what was said last night (he will go down tomorrow after his work day). I'm happy I have a lot more time off than usual in my industry, but at the same time these are huge money making days and mama wants a limo for her wedding. 

 

I need wine.

I accidentally put my underwear on inside out about once a month and don't notice until I have to pee at work, if that makes anyone feel better. I look really graceful trying to fix it in heels and skinny dress pants in a bathroom stall, too.

Unfortunately, no. He went into work pretty casual today. He's in a nice dressy pair of jeans and some nice casual shoes.

I made Christmas cookies for my boss last night and sampled too many. No sleep for the wired.

Upside? I rarely wear makeup to work but look awesome today because of all of the makeup I used to cover the bags!

Downside? I forgot my wallet which is a problem given the number of errands I planned to run on my way home from work.

Yea, this morning wasn't too bad, it was mainly last night and what we both said. I was still emotional about the parent thing and being stressed and he got upset that he felt "hopeless" and two emotional individuals didn't make for a peaceful night.

But we talked over email and got things off our chests so we're having dinner tonight at a hibachi place, so I go that going for me I guess!

I slept like hell last night and all I want is a nap. H's tattoo place has a Christmas special where you get $25 free for every $50 spent on gift cards. It ends today. So after work one of us has to drive an hour away to buy those since he'll be getting tattoos anyway.

I think I lost my wedding band. I just noticed that I'm not wearing it. I had it on this morning when I put on my makeup. I pretty much stopped wearing my e-ring when we got married but will put that on when I get home.

Freaking the fuck out.

Fortunately, it was a very cheap band. I checked on Amazon and it's gone down in price since we ordered and I can get it delivered by tomorrow fast. I just placed the order, just in case it doesn't turn up.

So fucking angry at myself.

I have done this before. Fuzzy slippers with skinny jeans. I have also gotten ready in pajama bottoms to avoid getting dog hair on my black dress pants. Then I almost left for work with those still on.

Today is my last day of work until January 12. We are probably leaving at noon, but this has been the slowest morning ever!

I think I'm sick again.  I feel like I've been sick since about October.  Nothing serious, just not feeling 100% but FUCK!!!  I just want to feel normal again.  I had a massage this morning and that wasn't even enjoyable cos I was trying to not drip snot on the floor through the face pillow.

I had to kind of throw someone under the bus this morning and it's bugging me. I've been at my new job for a month. I was assigned to a project that is about to go through a big review, the sort to decide if we can continue or need to stop. VP level assessment. 

My project doesn't currently have a project manager from my group assigned to it. One of the project managers was assigned to it, but things have been moved around. So my project isn't technically in her scope and they're trying to hire someone to fill the open position. 

But for right now, I don't have a project manager to support me. The other PM has just been passing all the information about this big review on to me, sending me meeting notices with all the team leaders and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it. If I had been here longer I think I would be fine taking all the work. But I'm new, what I don't know could fill a semi. I don't even really know what I should know more about. So when my supervisor and I were talking about this project in our 1:1, I told her about my struggles trying to to deal with this big review.

I know it was what I needed to do for me at this job. I don't want to look like an idiot on my new project. I want it to succeed, and I couldn't do it without any support. But I really like the PM and I'm sad I had to point out her lack of support. I just hope she doesn't get mad at me for it, because I have to work with her on another project.

Although the annoyed part of me also wonders what she thinks I'm going to do. I don't know how she imagines I'd be able to deal with this on my own two months into a completely new job.

I spent two hours practicing Handel in an unheated church sanctuary.  I'm having horrible performance anxiety about tomorrow night.  "For unto us a child is boooooooooorn..........!"  Yikes!
