Rough start for 2015, T&P

So FI got food poisoning yesterday and we spent most of today in the ER getting him re-hydrated after a very long night. He is still not feeling well. So even if its not a serious condition I am really sad he is sick and worried about him. Poor FI

Yeah definitely. My aunt tried to cheer him up saying that old wives tale is this could be a good year for him after the fact. But still. I just hope he starts feeling better because idk if he would like another trip to the ER, he hates hospitals.

Thanks ladies, I am so tired but I am so worried about him and so keeping an eye on his medication and food/hydration I cannot get sleep yet! I hope he starts to feel better soon. On a side note, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ugh I know how exhausting that is. This doesn't really compare but one of my dogs (I'm one of those weird people who thinks of my dogs as my kids) threw up a bunch a few nights ago right as I was going to bed. Then he was shaking really bad. He never ever gets sick so I ended up calling the emergency vet and I was so upset. The emergency vet thought it was just a routine upset stomach and he was shaking as a normal reaction (which turned out to be right) but I was so worried that I stayed up most of the night just sitting next to him; I couldn't stand the thought of going off to bed and just leaving him when he felt so bad. And then I had to get up for work in the morning, and luckily FI was able to stay home for the day to keep an eye on the poor guy, but he turned out to be fine.

I'd probably be a total wreck if that happened to FI. It sucks seeing someone you care about feel so miserable and there's nothing you can do about it

You have so so much sympathy from me. Just don't forget to take care of yourself as well!

@novella1186 I am the same way with my doggy. We have always been dog people so whenever she coughs or seems sick I go into mama bear mode and worry a ton. I think it shows we are sensible empathic people.

Thank you all for the well wishes. He was able to rest and have a good night's sleep and told me he is feeling a little better today. He still has a fever and such but since he was able to eat last night, he gathered some strength.
