Thanks so much everyone for the welcoming!!!!! This had definitely made my morning. :)

I've noticed a love of pets on this site so I'll post about mine.
Last June my boyfriend and I adopted a beautiful  3 month old kitten named Caramel. Obviously we renamed her lol. Her name is now Abbie. She is an orange tabby.
My first day in Jackson (the day we were moving into our apartment) my boyfriend and I went to Petsmart to get stuff for Abbie and ended up adopted a 9 week old kitten named Sweet Tator. We joked about the name and thought about keeping it, but ultimately renamed her as well. She is a gray tabby named Ripley (we named her after the main character in the Alien movie because when she loves to cuddle with our faces).
I heart this! (Especially the reason for naming her Ripley! Haha!) Here are my fur babies

  • Popcorn and kitties are my 2 favorite things so that picture is so perfect!

Funny that you say New Orleans and TN are quite a change. Being from the North, I would think those are very similar haha

  • Welcome!

Have you considered the effects fruit snacks may have on your future children?

You can't trust those Southerners, especially the ones from Connecticut. OP, welcome.

Okay well some time during your world travels I strongly encourage you to come for a visit. It's beautiful with great weather, and I promise it's not all the same!

Plus, people from Georgia don't appreciate being lumped together with the alabama folk.

I am biased, but South Louisiana could be its own country! One of my favorite authors summed it up best.

    “Dear America,
I suppose we should introduce ourselves: We're South Louisiana...You probably already know that we talk funny and listen to strange music and eat things you'd probably hire an exterminator to get out of your yard.

We dance even if there's no radio. We drink at funerals. We talk too much and laugh too loud and live too large and, frankly,we're suspicious of others who don't.”

And North Carolina is frankly ashamed that we share half a name with South Carolina.

I moved from New Orleans. Where did you move from/to?
Hm...my favorite new addition show is Friends!!! My old favorite that they took off is King Of The Hill. Lately I've just been going back and forth between Netflix and Hulu. I'll admit...I'm watch Mob Wives currently. Guilty pleasure.

I find sloths to be hilariously awesome! My boyfriend actually got my a plush sloth for the christmas before last. Him and his sister both got me sloth socks accidentally.
OK WE CAN BE FRIENDS NOW.

HAHA okay! I also have a bit of a thing for Nicolas Cage. A thing like...two framed pictures of him (one I found with him in it at Goodwill and the other one I got at a Dirty Santa party) and a pillow case with his picture on it I got for my birthday.

Welcome to TK! Don't be nervous. You will receive a lot of good advice and answers to anything you ask about. I am recently married and I loved all the help and feedback I received from TK. Although I don't post as much as I used to (due to some things going on with me right now) I still check in and will continue to post here.

I am here to talk about anything you want. You can message me privately if you want to as well.
Thanks so much for your reply! I look forward to future conversations.
Wedding question...how was your wedding planning experience? Did you have a large wedding or a more intimate one? What were your favorite parts? Any funny stories?
    @parkera92

My wedding planning experience for the most part was pleasant.  I had a few hiccups but nothing ruined the day and these hiccups would have happened anyway whether I was planning a wedding or not. We had about 150 guests. My favorite part was walking down the aisle and hearing us pronounced husband and wife.

Here's a funny story: During rehearsal we told the ring bearer (my nephew) that he had to hold on to the flower girls hand (husband's niece) and not let go otherwise he would be about 10 steps ahead of her. Well on the day of the wedding he made sure to not let go of her hand (they're both 3 and 4 years old) even though the flower girl wanted to toss the petals so she decided her solution was to stop walking every couple steps, hold the basket almost upside down and shake the basket a little bit so petals would fall. Then when she got to the altar and realized she still had petals she wouldn't sit down until she dumped them all out. ** I attached a picture**
