Sending save the date and invitation to pastor?

The pastor from our church will be officiating our ceremony. Do I send him and his wife a save the date and an invitation?

I don't think sending them a STD is really necessary. I mean since he is officiating I am assuming he already knows your wedding date. But if you are inviting them to attend the wedding then yes you will need to send them an invitation.
