Do my bridal shower invitations have to match my wedding invitations?

Any and all advice on the matter is appreciated!
My wedding invites also do not match my wedding colours--is this a bad thing? lol 
My wedding colours are very vibrant, but the wedding invitations I'm hoping to go with are ivory with black, elegant font.
If anyone could help, that would be great!!

It is up to the shower hostess to choose the invitation for her event. The bride has no say in her party or invitation, other than discussing the guest list with her.

ETA, your wedding invitations do not need to match anything, other than their envelopes.

I think the plan you have for your wedding invitations is going to look perfect!

Like @NYCMercedes‌ said, you shouldn't have input on your shower invitations. Its up to the shower hostess. Regardless, it doesn't matter if your shower invites match your wedding invitations.

Since you shouldn't have anything to do with how your shower invitations look, it doesn't matter AT ALL if they match.
