HELP! Can't find Bridesmaids skirts

Hi everyone!

I'm really hoping you'll be able to help me with what has turned out to be the most stressful part of planning my wedding so far... BRIDESMAIDS skirts! We're having a very non-traditional rustic September (2015) wedding - our venue is a barn, food will be served from a food truck and we're encouraging everyone to DRESS COMFORTABLY! My fiance and his best man will be wearing khakis a button up shirt and flip flops, and I was hoping to find skirts for my bridesmaids to match the comfortable theme. I'd love a long flowy maxi skirt...preferably in purple but I'll work with the color if I can find the right style skirt. I've ordered 4 from etsy so far and have just had really bad experiences...they're either not made well, don't look at all in person how they are pictured or are just huge in places and small in others. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find a skirt that looks like the ones below that aren't from etsy? Or if it is from etsy at least from someone that you've bought from and like the way the clothes have come? I'd even be willing to pay for someone to make them.. but I don't know anyone that makes clothes... so I'm open on suggestions for that too! I don't want anything crazy expensive... I think $150ish is towards the top of my price range.

Where are you looking?  There are certainly a ton of maxi skirts available through department stores, and for a whole lot less than $150.  That budget frankly seems high considering you are emphasizing comfort, and the men are wearing flip flops.

I'm sure there will be many options available once the spring line is out in department stores.  I suggest you look there.

Thanks for the link, unfortunately since they're on clearance the sizes that are available are limited and my bridesmaids run the size spectrum. As for the budget, I'd like to not have my girls spend anywhere near $150 but I've seen the cost of maxi skirts vary so I didn't want to limit anyone's suggestions based ok cost. Thanks for the help.

No no no no no. Infinity dresses suck and never work right on real people.

OP, since your wedding is casual anyway, why don't you just tell your bridesmaids to wear a purple maxi skirt of their choosing? Why do they have to have the same one? Especially if they are very different sizes, it will be so much simpler to just let them find one on their own.

Also did you ask them each individually what they're willing to spend? Because there's no way I would ever spend $150 on a maxi skirt. I probably wouldn't spend more than about $40, in fact. Because it's a freaking maxi skirt and I could make one for that.

I will also second the suggestion of physical stores, particularly in a few weeks when they start selling spring/Easter clothing.

Nordstrom Rack? I have seen a lot there lately. Very high quality but a reduced price.

I realize they are on clearance.  The point was that a quick google search shows that maxi skirts are not/should not be difficult to find, and the cost should be WAY below $150.  I suggest again that once the spring/summer lines come out at regular department stores, you should not have a problem finding skirts.  I am curious, however, as to the type of top you plan on pairing with this skirt.  If your BM's "run the size spectrum", I am hoping you are not considering they wear tank tops with these skirts.

I don't have a skirt from her (it would need hemmed and I'm not willing to pay more), but I have lots of her other stuff and its great.

At that price point why not just hire someone to make all the skirts so you can get exactly what you want and it'll fit the girls perfectly?
