Eloping in DC

The idea is that FH and I (and potentially 4 other people) will get married in DC.  My idea was to find an officiant, everyone meet at the same location (monument, middle of a random sidewalk, whatever) - there would be vows and pictures - yay, end scene.  

Is that even feasible?  With no less than 10 people expected, I don't feel like I should have to spend $500 to rent a place for the 15 minute ceremony.  What are you suggestions?  Anything would be helpful.

You may get better advice from the DC local boards. I can move your post for you if you'd like.

Are all the people going getting married at once? Or people are going with you to witness? If people are going to be there to witness, it's an intimate destination wedding, not an elopement. Elopement suggests that noone knows you are marrying until after you are wed.
