DJ Recommendation?

Hi PDXers!

I am starting the search for the perfect DJ. We know we want someone who will actually listen to our music requests and not steal the show (i went to one wedding where the DJ seemed to take it as an opportunity to try out his stand up comedy routine for 15 minutes...yikes!). We don't really need someone who will run "game shows," but a gay-friendly DJ is a must. Any suggestions?

I have not chosen one yet either, but my co-worker is a DJ part time and is great. I went to a wedding she did and I thought she did a fabulous job -she has her own equipemnt (lights, stand, mics, etc. etc.) and definetly does not steal the show. I know she spends a lot of time going over song lists with you (if you want) or will just play a general mix of music if that's what you want.  Check her out at www.musicmixtress.com if you want

We used Clint Kuper with Chad Dowling entertainment.   I got married in 2008, so I'm not sure he is still there, but he was really good.
