Wedding Shoes

Does anyone have any good ideas for wedding flats? I'm taller than my future husband so heels are out of the question, and I want to be comfortable that day. I'm really wanting to find a pair of flats or sandals that I could wear again after the wedding. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Wedding Shoes

  • Check out zappos.com, I love their selection.  They have free shipping and free returns so you can order a couple pairs to try on.
  • I'm wearing these gold crochet toms for our wedding...I wanted something comfortable that I'd wear again after the wedding. They're just fancy enough for my May wedding since they're really sparkly (but not with sequins, which I wanted to avoid). I second zappos or dsw, or toms makes ballet flats too :) good luck!
  • A really low shoe, like this J Crew wedge?  I have it in linen and it's a great staple.  They made this version, in metallic silver.  It's really low.  Even just the tiniest heels give me better carriage or posture or something--I just look/stand/something better than when I'm in flats.

  • Spring collections are starting to hit, so there will be plenty of options for you.

In addition to zappos, I like 6pm.com and you can find cute styles on modcloth, though sometimes they're priceier then they need to be.

  • I've heard great things about Tieks ballet flats - just not sure I can bite the bullet and spend $200 on flats.

I had a hard time finding flats and ended up with tory burch vanessa flats.
  • i love these! do they sell them on the toms website?
  • Thank you all for your help!! So many good ideas! :)
  • I ordered some flats from the Etsy shop, walkin on air.  The shoes are so comfy, and I can't wait to wear them at the reception! They also can add the lace to most shoes (depending on the fabric and size) for around $30. I had them add lace to my mint heels and they are gorgeous!
Here is a link to their shop
