4 basic needs...

Hi ladies!

I am going to have my ceremony in the Cancun area April 2016. We have been there twice, toured 5 hotels, and still cannot find one that meets all of our needs. I am thinking we need to expand to the Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen area and the majority of our search (not all) was in Cancun, along the strip where the water is just GORGEOUS but the elegant resorts don't seem to be all-inclusive, which is what we want.

I just want 4 things (is it so much to ask?!)
(1) Elegance (like Dreams Riviera)
(2) All-inclusive
(3) Family-friendly
(4) Swimmable beaches (like the main strip on Cancun, and NOT behind the barrier reef like Dreams Riviera and Moon Palace)

Do you know the perfect resort for me?

    Playcar Palace is pretty awesome, plus it's on the edge of the downtown area, so an easy walk to shopping, dining, and entertainment. The water and beach is beautiful and the staff is great. I can't say anything for the rooms since we were only there for the day on our trip to Cozumel.

    I'm not sure what you mean by elegance, but we had our wedding at Beach Palace, and it was all of the other things on your list, and we loved it.  We've had multiple guests who have since gone back for other vacations there because they liked the resort so much.

    Did you check out Omni Cancun Hotel and Villas?  I have not been there, but I have a few friends that have recommended it and it is top of the list for me right now.  Would love to hear your thoughts if this is one that you've already visited!

    I've stayed at Live Aqua in Cancun.  It has ruined AI's for me cos it was awesome.  Everywhere else we go now just never measures up.  Can't comment on weddings there though

    We have always stayed in Playa del Carmen and we checked out resorts in Cancun and I was not impressed with the beaches and the water. If you did want to stay in Cancun though our top one was Iberostar Cancun. Family friendly, AI,  the beach was pretty and the wedding planner Paula was such a sweetheart!
