Invited Guest Parties With More Than 3 Children?

I have been using the Guest List Manager to organize my guest list and it's been fantastic so far.

I have one problem though - some of my guest parties have 3 children and manually inputting guests' names only allows for two children. Is there a way I can add more children to the family party?

Also, I've been filling out the Excel sheet template for importing guests' information in bulk. I added a "Child 3" section identical to child 1 and child 2 categories. Will this solve my problem?

Re: Invited Guest Parties With More Than 3 Children?

  • Once the guest list is imported into the site you can go into each party and add up to 20 children. If you add another column to the spreadsheet titled “child 3” the list will not import correctly.

  • Will the parents be able to RSVP those children? I am having a similar issue. My uncle has 6 children, and I need to know if they will be coming, if I enter all of the children in, can they be RSVP'd?
Also, how do I "go into each party"? I cannot seem to access individual parties from the list I imported from my Xcel document.
  • Figured it out. It's a little complicated, but I can get it done. Posting a detailed how-to for anyone else out there with this problem!

Click on Guest List Manager, and find the List you are trying to access.
When you see the list you want to manage, click on the "View List" tab inside of the List's blue box. My list is called "Wedding Guest List."
When you see all of the names (because you have already imported the guest list), in black on the left hand side of the column, when you scroll over a name, you can select it.
You MUST click EDIT at the bottom of the little box for the information to come up.
At the bottom, you can add children to that guest's information, enter in children's names, and SAVE.
NOW, when the "Parent" searches for their name, they will be able to see their children's names underneath, and RSVP for them too.
YAY! This is more complicated than I had hoped, but at least it will work.
  • I posted pictures of the screenshots, and they should be in order. You cannot see the mouse, I had it over the correct spot, but at least you all will know what the correct page should look like!
