Bridesmaids or No Bridesmaids?

I am starting to plan my wedding, without making my anxiety any higher than it is. I am planning a small wedding with less than 50 people. The ceremony will not be in a church. Friends suggested I have to at least have my two sisters as bridesmaids. I have only been to a few weddings and never been a bridesmaid so I am not sure what they would actually contribute. I had thought that I would not have any bridesmaids. Is it that unusual?

I had a small wedding of 30 people. We did not have any attendants. My fiance walked down the aisle alone and I followed. It went very smoothly.

I'm having a matron of honor and fiancé is having a best man. My grown kids are walking me down the aisle.

Thanks, I asked my two sisters but one has not responded. I am thinking she will not do it. If that is the case, it will just be one of my sisters. My fiance is having his teenage son as a best man.

You really don't need to have any bridesmaids if you don't want to it wouldn't be weird. I think the smaller you keep your wedding party the better off you will be. Good luck!
