The hourglass means they haven't chosen a card yet. Or hit continue. So it could mean that they've walked away or they're just having a hard time choosing between cards.

Ok, someone seriously help me out.  I can't find it in the App store.  I can click on the link (on my computer), but when I click join game it directs me to the app store.  But no app.  What am I doing wrong??  Maybe it's a US only thing??
