Oh Lord. That's why I said,
I didn't see anything in your post that would justify you feeling like they're "driving you up the wall."
Is there mitigating info? Share it! Although somehow I'd guess it's not quite as dramatic as OP thinks it is...
I had a college roommate who would scream and cry at the drop of a hat. I once asked her if it was ok for me to put her clothes in the dryer so I could throw mine in the washer. She looked at me for a minute with a blank stare, then literally started screaming, flung the front door wide open, ran outside, and raced down the sidewalk crying. Then she sat down in the middle of the sidewalk and called her mom, sobbing the entire time. I'm not fucking kidding. It was always like this with her, every day, no matter what.

I wonder if the OP is my college roommate....
OH MY GOD. Girl, you are a crazy person MAGNET!

I just want to keep this one alive because of the giant Closed sign.

Story time... So, apparently when my uncle was little, he really really really liked the ice cream shop in town.  In order to not have to stop there every time they passed by, or find a route that wouldn't take them past the ice cream shop, they taught the little tyke that O.P.E.N spells 'Closed'.  It's a running gag in our family that when we don't want to stop somewhere that "o.p.e.n spells closed."

    More story time...

As a little girl, my favorite character on Sesame Street was Cookie Monster.  I walked around all the time saying, "Me want cookie."  So I wouldn't become sugared out and so my mom could still play along with me, she taught me that crackers were cookies and vice versa.  I got fed a lot of crackers, lol.

  • More stories:

One time my younger siblings and I were staying with our grandparents while Mom & Dad were out of town for a week.  I was about 14 then, so C would have been 11 and K would have been 3 - we had a grand old time getting spoiled rotten - Grandpa took us shopping for a whole bunch of bulk candy, went out to the movies almost every day, the whole nine yards.

C and I got in the habit of asking Nana if we could have some candy by spelling it out so K wouldn't catch on.  Little bugger was smart, though, so if one of us asked for some c-a-n-d-y, he'd say "yeah, Nana, can I have some C-A-A?"
