Should pictures of the wedding rings be posted online pre-wedding?

I've heard it's perfectly fine to post pictures of your engagement rings, but is it okay to post pictures of the wedding rings before the wedding? Pictures of just the rings not when they're displayed on your hand yet.

I have a few friends on social media who wanted to see pictures of the ring since they are unable to come to the wedding and asked me to post pictures. I'm unsure whether or not I should because I don't want to feel like I'm bragging or that I'm spoiling anything before our wedding.

What are your opinions?

Why not just PM a picture of your ring if they want to see it so bad?  Or just tell them they can see pictures of the wedding, including your rings, after your wedding is over with.

If you're uncomfortable posting them publicly on your Facebook (I would be), why not privately message a picture of the rings to those few specific friends, if you're comfortable with that?

Do whatever you want. This is not an etiquette thing, but a preference.

Oh and the only way it will look like you are bragging is if you post the pictures of your rings and then provide the carat size and price.  Just don't do that.

Posting photos of your rings online doesn't violate etiquette but might be risky in terms of security.
