Edited entire post because way toooo long. I can try to copy paste the original post in a comment.
Long story short, I contacted a hair stylist at my photog's urging about 7 months ago.
We agreed to certain contractual terms and I asked her to send the contract. She changed those terms in the contract, which could have obliged me to as much as $140 more than I initially agreed to pay her. I asked her if this was a mistake and she said no and that it was a busy time of year for her.
I was pissed so I never bothered to reply to her email....you know because I had nothing nice to say to someone who did something underhanded. I probably should have replied, though.
She sent another email 3-4 months later, checking in now that she had more time.
I figured that this was just a shitty business tactic to get my business back because we were spending an awful lot of money with her, so I never bother to reply because I didn't want to be involved.
Tonight I received an email from her asking for more details about the wedding -- what time she should be there, where she should meet us, how many girls, etc.
WTF? I didn't sign a contract with this
woman. On what planet is she assuming she's doing our hair? I never replied to
any of her e-mails after she very dishonestly tried to insert additional people
into the contract. That's my fault and I probably should have, but I was just
SO pissed.
I don't want to cause drama between her and my photographer
because I was inquiring into her services because of my photog's
recommendation.
Do I just email back and say, "Sorry, we never signed a
contract because we couldn't seem to agree on the finances"? I'm at a
total loss. I have no idea how she thinks she is doing our hair when she never
signed a contract.
