I still keep writing the wrong initials.

Re: I still keep writing the wrong initials.

  • I forgot my last name the other day when writing it down on something. Guys...I didn't change my last name.

Wifey was actually telling me she was at work the other day up by the receptionist and some people came in to see her and they tell the receptionist "We're here to see Ms.Ink" and she goes "She doesn't work here" and the receptionist just stares at her and goes "Um...yeah, haha, she does...Ms. Ink"...these were clients. Luckily she the pulled the "Oh opps, I just married, sorry I've been Ms. Maiden for so long I'm still adjust to Ms. Ink, but please call me Wifey", and they all laughed it off.
  • I know learning a new signature is going to be a pain. Luckily V's last name is common so I can easily spell it in cursive ha. My initials right now are SAP but will become SAT. Yep my family isn't funny haha.

  • I am SO not used to my new name.  It doesn't help that almost everyone calls me by my maiden name (did so even before I was married).

Luckily, my signature was a scribble to begin with, so I just changed a scribbly "K" to a scribbly "M".

  • I went from ex-H's last name to current H's last name (too lazy to change it in between) so I am just pleased as shit to not be associated with that fuckhole anymore.

I have recently discovered that I don't know how to write an uppercase cursive G, though. Which is a problem, since my new last name starts with G and I sign my name at least 30x/day at work.

Mine is S. All my cursive S's just look like drunk worms so I just do a normal S.

  • I have imagined my future new name so many times for so many years that I had a weird period of time where I thought my FI had a distance relative with my same first name. It was such a familiar combo I thought there was already someone with my soon to be name!

  • my initials will go from JRL to JRK and i cant do a cursive K for the like of me. because when i sign anything its my legal name not preferred name. i caught my co worker trying her new name out.... she doesnt know i found that sheet with her signatures all over it since she was not here yesterday.

i did for sometime but stopped. FI would make fun of me if he caught me doing it.

My maiden and married last name starts with a G. Curvise G's are the bane of my existence. I still can't write one pretty.

  • My initials now (CT) make a heart shape when I write them. My new initials (CO) will not. This makes me sad. I don't initial a lot of stuff though so initials changing will not be an issue.

I do practice my signature. I sign a fair amount of stuff where it needs to be semi-legible, and I've been working on making my current signature legible, and also working on making sure I actually look like I know what I'm doing when I sign my new name.

Normally, my signature is C-scribble Loop-scribble. I should have been a doctor.

I used to make all my cursive S's like ducks when I was young. Plop an eye and a beak on it. It's the only reason I still know how to write them.

I'll go from KAK to KAH. FI's last name gets butchered just as much as my current one, so I have that going for me.

  • My initials go from CWR to CWW. My W's are just squiggles so I should be fine. I haven't tried writing my new signature, FI will mock me so hard.
