To Register or Not to Register

My fiance and I have each had our own homes for years and now merging them, we don't need a thing!! I wasn't planning on registering because, what do I register for? We'd prefer money so that we can do things we want/need to with the house, etc. Is there a tactful way to state, somewhere, that money would be appreciated? Feeling awkward...

You do not state, in writing, anywhere that you prefer money.  But if some asks you where you are registered you just say "Oh we aren't registered anywhere, FI and I are just saving up for a new deck."  Or something like that.  This gets the point across that money is a welcomed gift (even though most people know that).

Thank you!! I wasn't going to state it anywhere, just was wondering if people actually did that, I assumed people would assume if not registered anywhere, then money would be the gift. I don't care if they give me anything!! I just want to have a big party to celebrate with my family and friends, their presence will be enough for me! 

Not sure what the point of the videos is, but I'm put off by them.

Do you mean the gifs that are in our signatures?  They aren't directed to you, they are just something that shows up every time we post.  Just like if someone put a wedding ticker or an engagement photo in their signature.

I see. Thank you for clearing that up. I'm new to this and don't know how it works. I don't know what y'all see when I post something, if it's different than what I see. They are odd videos for a wedding site, IMHO.
