Wedding Party

Parent Gifts

My mom is helping out quite a bit with our wedding, so my fiance and I both agree getting her a generous gift as a thank you is a must. The problem is, I do not know what to get her! I want to get her something she will genuinely enjoy/use.

On the flip side, my fiance's parents are not helping with the wedding. We want to get them a small token as well, but give it to each parent separately. I'm worried that our thought process on this is not okay....advice?

Re: Parent Gifts

  • I say shop as though it's her birthday like you would any other bridesmaid. Maybe she loves/needs a new purse and loves a specific designer or loves the spa - get a gift card.

I would say give the gifts separately - not at the rehearsal dinner. I think it's probably best for it to be a private moment for both sides.
