Another Escort Card Idea...

So maybe I'm trying to get too cutesy, but I found another escort card idea using noisemakers. They're cute looking and guests could blow on them as FI and I come into the reception. I would probably need to tweak it so I could fit first and last names and table numbers. See the picture below (sorry it's so big!)

What are your thoughts? Would you be weirded out as a guest about putting a noisemaker in your mouth if it wasn't wrapped up before hand? Any ideas on how to make this work?

Personally, I would not give noise makers until you want people to make noise. Because people will use them when they get them and throughout the reception. To me, that's extremely annoying.

@southernbelle0915 I don't mind guests using them during the entrances and toasts and such, but I can see that it could get really obnoxious (especially with the ones pictured). I'm not sure if that makes me not want to use them at all, but definitely something I didn't consider. Thanks!

I went to a wedding where they passed out noisemakers for the B&G's exit. So no one got them until like 10:30 and once they were passed out, everyone lined up for the exit. Maybe that would work better and be less obnoxious.

I agree with PP. Most of the people I know (myself included) will have a kind of compulsion to use things that make noise right away. The last wedding I went to gave out bubbles for favors and there was always people blowing bubbles until the end of the reception (max bubbles when everyone was first handed the little bubble containers). I mean, that wasn't that bad, maybe a little annoying as there were bubbles in my face most of the day, but I can only imagine how annoying it'd be if the bubble wands were noisemakers.

I hate noisemaker things in general, so that's a no from me.

Save your money and just use regular, normal escort cards. Use the money you save towards your food or for your honeymoon.

I didn't use regular, normal cards, and I don't regret it one bit!

Noisemakers remind me of children's birthday parties, and were pretty obnoxious then.

Unless yours is an extremely informal one, why choose these? If you have anyone with a hearing aid coming, warn them to turn it off.

I saw little bell escort card holders and thought they were so cute, until I realized people ring the bell to encourage you to kiss. I love kissing my Fi but you can bet I'm going to be SUPER annoyed when people keep ringing the bell trying to get us to kiss on demand in front of everyone.

If you don't want people to make noise at inappropriate times I say avoid the noisemakers. They are really cute, though!
