So one of the girls in the litter from our rescued momma dog is not doing well at all. She is so weak she can hardly even whimper much less hold her head up.
When she was born, she was breached and had a lot of fluid in her lungs. The momma dog rejected her and left her for dead, but I managed to get her breathing. She was the runt of the litter and very weak for the first 3 days of her life. Then she seemed to start doing better (more active, coughing up the fluids in her lungs, and getting fatter).
But as of 4am this morning she has taken a nose dive! She has trouble breathing, refuses to eat, and has become as weak as she was those first couple days. Our vet clinic was closed today since its Sunday, but if she hasn't started eating by the time the vet opens, we are going to be making an emergency vet run. She could definitely use all the good vibes and T&PS tonight.
UPDATE:
As of about an hour ago, the little one passed away. She just gave up and stopped breathing.
