This week is turning out to be very productive! I had to take a minute to *brag*.. we originally were just going to redo the flooring in our guest bath, well I spent all night after work doing other things to it and instead of just a new floor we now have fresh white cabinets (they were oak) with new hardware, gray walls, and refinished trim in white and I LOVE how it turned out! 

Anyone else having a super productive week?

My week has just been busy, but that means it's going by fast!

Did you refinish the cabinets yourself or hire someone to do it? H and I close on our house in 3 weeks and are wanting to paint the kitchen cabinets.

not really productive but i usually dread wednesdays, today not so much for 2 reasons. 1) a old co worker from my other dealer hopefully is coming to visit. i havent seen them since nov of 2013 the year i left. he was one of my buddies. 2) i have a half day tomorrow and i am kinda excited. i havent gotten out of work early since august of last year. YAY!

We are DIY nuts.. we like to save the money and enjoy the projects so I did them myself. I actually got the rustoleum cabinet transformation kit and it's AWESOME! Yes, you should google that.. It comes with everything you need and I'd be happy to show you my cabinets with the "glaze" and the ones without it. I used the same kit to do our master with the glaze that makes it more "vintage" looking, and just used the paint upstairs to keep it white.

The week is dragging for me. It feels like it should be Thursday. I think its because FI worked Monday instead of Tuesday this week, so it's really throwing me off.

Started playing around a bit in garage band last night, which neither of us has ever used, trying to edit our processional song. We aren't sure how long it needs to be though so next time we are back visiting family we may need to break into the venue and test walk the aisle as we have no idea how long it is.

My SIL is a graphic designer and she's doing our invites and sent us the proofs last night so im super excited about that.

I'm also getting a much needed haircut tonight but I am super nervous. I've been going to the same hairdresser for 10 years, but as she's back in my hometown I had to suck it up and find a new hairdresser so I can build up a trust with since Im going to need someone to trim my bangs before the wedding. My hair is my identity, its currently about an inch below bra line and i have always had straight across bangs, so i'm super nervous about going to someone new.

Also, on hair talk, does anyone know the requirements for donating hair? I'm planning on doing a post wedding hair chop, (I usually have super long hair and then every couple years chop it short). I figured that it might be nice to actually do something with the hair I chop, as i have a lot of it. However it does have long layers in it so I don't know if that kinda, invalidates it.

@SoontobeMrsKlein sounds like you have a lot going this week! Good luck and I know how you feel about the hair dresser! I have super curly hair and nobody seems to know how to cut it!

I'm having a pretty productive week, I guess. I had a phone interview on Friday that led to a real interview yesterday morning, and this morning they made me an unofficial offer (pending background check). I feel little behind the curve starting my first "big kid" job two weeks before I turn 26, but I'm so thrilled/relieved.

I know I'm not super active here so hopefully this isn't too obnoxious.

Nice work! And congrats on the job! that is very exciting.. as a side note, who cares when you start your "big kid" job, hopefully it's something you want to do and will enjoy!

I changed careers a few times and didn't get my "big kid" job (one with growth potential, not just answering phone for forever) until I was 30. Doesn't matter when you start, it just matters that you make the most of the opportunity!

Thanks, I'm really excited about the opportunity! The background check makes me nervous, not because I have a criminal history (I don't), but because I've moved around a lot and often just subleased for a few months at a time. When the HR woman asked for my addresses for the past 7 years I almost fell over. Um...are you sure you want all of them?

Go you!  That's more productive than I've been in like....a month.

Just got home from an interview.  I'm not too thrilled about the company/position though, so....meh.  Hard to be excited.  

I guess I should go clean the house or something so that I can say I've been productive but....I don't wanna    

(I am very much a five year old today.)
