@mobride2015 - 2 just said it was ugly and FI was like "it doesn't match"! 

I'm not a yellow gold person, but the salesperson tells me it can be rhodium dipped like any white gold piece and will look the same, so I have to look into that.

@hellohkb those illustrations are adorable! 

We have a lot of time right now, but I am also looking at STD's. I want to send them out at the one year mark if possible, and a friend here is a graphic designer who can hopefully help us design them and print them. She volunteered to help out since she did all of her stationary for her own wedding, so we plan to take her up on that offer. Right now I am looking for inspiration only and talking to her to see if what we want to do is possible and how long it would take her to design them. I really like these ones, since FI and I met in a computer programming course in college and are both engineers:

There are a few things that I hope to change though. I want to do something like postcards with an area for an address and our picture instead of the red background, and I also want to hide some funny secret messages in the binary on the front. The random hearts placed in it would be used to separate the messages. Our technology-minded guests will try to translate the binary to ASCII (FI and I both did and unfortunately the ones shown here are just random numbers), and all have a great sense of humor, so FI and I are currently trying to figure out what to put in there.

@luckya23 I like that wedding band too! However, I do think that the metals should match if you plan to wear it with your engagement ring (it looks a little too busy otherwise to me), but I think it's beautiful!

@luckya23 - I think once it's plated white, it's going to look great, and I like that you can wear it separately if you wanted to.

I just sent out STDs earlier this week, and scheduled a BM appointment for my maids to look at dresses.

Now I'm looking at shoes so that as soon as I get my dress back from the shop I can take it to be altered! Also looking into tailors that alter wedding gowns...

I'm not a fan of mixing metals personally, but once it's rhodium dipped, I think it'll look beautiful!

I'm waiting on a quote back from the restaurant I'd rather like to cater with. The last time I talked to them, the person in the other end said they would check and get back to me - but that was Monday. I touched back with them on Wednesday and didn't get anything back.

This is supposed to be a fantastic restaurant, and it's only twenty minutes from the ceremony venue (and possibly the reception venue - still debating that), so I'm going to touch back base with them on Monday and see, but I'm tempted to just give up the ghost and hand the food off to FI anyway. He knows the right questions, and won't get stressed about a bit of a wait. I am entirely too impatient for this shit.

Just got the Save the Dates in (ordered them from Photoaffections...if you sign up for email alerts you get great coupons~~~my little splurge was having the envelopes addressed for me). So we have to stuff them

Appointment is set up to meet the designer for the invites...in a few weeks. Need to figure out where to order a cake.

OOOOO I will have to look at that. We have already gotten a few engagement gifts and I am running out of TY notes, so I might have to take advantage of that to order more! Thanks for the heads up!
