Anyone watching the SNL 40th reunion show?

Re: Anyone watching the SNL 40th reunion show?

  • Agree about Paul McCartney.  DH and I both commented that he wasn't sound very good.  We hated the Californians.  We've never heard of it before,  but it was about 15 mins too long.  Beyonce was boring too.  I found a lot of stuff was long whereas I would have preferred more but shorter clips, or even showing old clips instead of new stuff.

DH's comment about Kanye was WTF is he doing lying on the stage??

  • Jeopardy was one of the best skits. I love Norm Macdonald.

Paul McCartney did sound terrible. I was trying to figure out if his age is catching up with him or if their was an issue with the sound system. He seemed to be out of sync with the music.

I told H it sounded like he had a cold. He was kind of raspy, like he needed to clear his throat.

Still a better performance than Miley or Kanye, though.

I was pissed they didn't do more with Eddie, and they only showed a tiny, 10-second bit of "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood". (Granted, it was one of my favorite bits.)

I really wish they would have focused more on the old footage. Those classics are the reason "SNL" is still on the air. I wanted more of a tribute to the original gang. Even the subtle, barely-there tribute to "Land Shark" was lame.
