How do I delete people off of my guest list?

I have tried everything possible. But I could not figure out how to delete people off of my guest list. I want to cut people out because there are too many but I don't see any way to completely delete them off. Could anyone explain to me how I do that? I really appreciate it!

Haha, at first I read this like you wanted to uninvite people. That would be terrible. You're talking about The Knot guest list app, right?

Don't use it. Really. It sucks and we get people asking about how to fix it all the time. Use google spreadsheets. If you google "Google wedding" they even have templates.

Girl, I saw your profile about not being able to find where you made a post.

In addition to that, I don't understand how you're in the situation you're in. If you got to the point in "View all guests" where you could notice that someone doesn't get entirely deleted by removing them from an event list, you should also have seen next to their name, "Remove this guest."

As far as editing their names, which you asked about on your profile... if you click on the name, and the box with their info comes up, at the bottom there is a box called "edit." If you click it it will let you edit those name fields.

However, if you were unable to figure this stuff out on your own, I'm really not sure how much we can help you by describing what to do. I'd follow JC's advice and stick to Excel or Google Sheets.
  • TBH I only ever used the Knot seating chart (Which at least at the time was extremely helpful), but I vividly remember the guest list feature being a piece of shit of EPIC proportions.  Just excel that shit.

  • We used TheKnot guest list, as we had an option for online RSVPs. I remember it being wonky too about some things...

In the end we made our own Excel file for guest and seating list.
  • Thank you so much everyone!
