When should the groom order his tux?

Hi guys,
Does anyone have any input as to when the groom should order his tux?  We are buying from Men's Warehouse if that makes a difference in the answer.

Also, how far out is a good length of time for the groomsmen to order their tuxes?  Does renting or buying make a difference in the amount of time?  Also from Men's Warehouse.

    This sounds like a question for Men's Wearhouse.

    FWIW, H and his GM ordered their suits (all purchased) from Jos. A. Bank in April for our September wedding.

    Agreed, ask Men's Wearhouse.  My husband got a tux from Men's Wearhouse and I think he ordered it in October for a December wedding...

    DH was in a wedding in Sept.  While it wasn't Men's Warehouse they ordered their tuxes in June or July.

    Basically it varies and you need to contact your store.

    FWIW = DH walked into a Men's Warehouse on a Monday and bought a tux for Saturday.  Not that I recommend that and buying is different then renting, just saying it doesn't seem to take as long as BM's dresses seem to take.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    Our wedding was in June and my husband ordered his tux from Men's warehouse in February. They said everyone had to order 30-45 days before the wedding.

    FI already actually owns a tux (he bought it for inauguration a couple years ago because we had tickets to the ball), so he just needs it altered. All the groomsmen need to get fitted at Jos. A. Bank by March 20 or so for our May 2 wedding

    Men's Warehouse can probably give you the best answer.

    My H ordered his tux (not from MW) about 6 months in advance. It came in about 3 weeks later and then he got it tailored which took another couple weeks. We only did it this early because it was on sale. He could have ordered it 2 months before the wedding and been fine.
