Hi Ladies!

Hi Ladies!

Had to take a little break but slowly but surely I'm putting my life together.  I got all new bedding in my apartment, I'm having it painted, and I got some fun new pictures to hang up.

Plus, I'm hardcore working on getting into shape now because eventually someone else is going to see me naked.   So I tried SoulCycle last night and now my lady bits hurt.  Seriously I'm having trouble sitting down.

What's new with you guys?

Re: Hi Ladies!

  • Welcome back! What colors are you painting your walls?

And congrats on the crocheting! I'm a knitter and blankets are my absolute favorite things to make, but there are so many fun things to try.
  • any time I get on a bike I hurt down there for days. I don't do it often, and don't do spin class in part bc I don't want to hurt there!  Maybe some padded bike shorts will help if you want to keep going, or maybe eventually your lady bits get used to it??

  • I'm so glad to hear you're doing well! Any update on your search for a doggie? What colors are you painting? You should AW your redecorating when it's done!

  • I cycle a lot and your parts will get used to it!

  • Welcome back!!  It sounds like you are doing amazing!  And congrats on learning how to crochet - I really need to learn a skill like that
  • Yeah I've heard my bits will get used to it.  Just glad I'm not getting laid right now haha.

My building only allows white but a fresh coat will be nice.

The puppy search is happening slowly, I'm going away to hang with my sis in law in LA next weekend and then have my bff's bachelorette party in New Orleans March 20th so I'm not going to get a dog until after that when I have time to be around but I've talked to a few organizations and I"m so excited!!!!

  • So glad you're back! And I'm so happy to hear about these great changes. Honestly, I love love love new bedding. That can make all the difference in the world.

I promise your lady parts will stop hurting soon! They get used to it :-P

Thanks!  I'm popping in and out of here.  And thanks!  West Elm was having a 20% off everything sale and I love their quilts (I get super hot when I sleep) so I decided to treat myself to new stuff!

Do I have to go more than once a week to make my parts stop hurting?

    Thanks!

Honestly I tried to learn from the internet a few months ago and was having trouble figuring out how to hold my hands so I made my mom's friend teach me when I was staying up at their house.  Once I figured it out and she helped re-position me, it's super easy!  I mean I can only do one stitch but that's all I need for now!

Probably. I would say that by my 3rd class, it stopped hurting. I take spin now 4 times a week.

I bought a stationary trainer about a month ago to be able to ride my bike inside during the winter (cuz sitting on my butt constantly wasn't workin out too well for me) and my lady bits got used to it probably after the 3rd or 4th time. The seat on my bike sucks, but so far I've been too lazy to search for a better one.

  • That's awesome! Redecorating your place can really do wonders!

Soulcycle sounds interesting, I'm not entirely sure what it is but I should look into it. I've been trying this new class at my gym and I seriously can't walk for like 2 days after. I'm glad I'm getting my butt in gear now because every year around this time it feels like I blink and everyone's in crop tops and shorts!

  • Welcome back, chica! I'm trying to survive the brutal weather. So over it. My building only allows white too, but I painted the walls different colors lol. It does suck, because when we move I think we're going to have to paint the walls white again, but whatever, I'll deal with that when the time comes.

Do you go to the Soul Cycle in Chelsea?

I wish I could afford to do that in the city, I think I can swing twice a week

I actually went to the one in SoHo last night because I was going with friends.  I just treated myself to a 5 pack so I'm going to check out different ones.  Do you go to the one in Chelsea ever?

  • Love the bedding!  Welcome back!  And my lady parts haven't gotten used to cycling so I stopped.  It was so bad I couldn't walk!

  • Glad you're doing well!!!
  • I love your bedding! West Elm has the best stuff.

I tried Soul Cycle for the first time a week ago- loved it, but yes, the bits hurt :)

Do I see a Knottie NYC field trip to Soul Cycle in our future?!

I will totally come into the city for this. Once it's warmer.
  • Love the bedding!  I'm glad you're getting out and doing new things.

You should learn how to make this!  It's silly, but the little kid part of me got super excited when I saw it.

  • I'm glad you're back and doing so well! I think a big part of getting your ladybits used to the spinning bike is learning the right way to sit. Try to plant yourself firmly back on your butt - seems counterintuitive to sit yourself back even harder, but you want to minimize the bouncing on your crotch. You want to feel your ass bones on the widest part of the seat. Sometimes it helps to point the front part of the seat down a little bit.

  • So glad you're back, and that you're killin' it with life!

I have never SoulCycled (I can't wrap my head around the cost, honestly) but I bike when it's nice out to train for triathlons--it gets better. I did, however, buy myself a nice gel-cushioned seat for my bike with anatomical "cut-outs." I'm not sure what SoulCycle offers, but for like, a dollar a minute they should give you whatever you want.

So there is another place, Peleton, that's a similar idea and if you sign up for an account, your first class is free!  It's on 23rd in Chelsea, I'm going to try it out when I get back from LA if you wanna come with!  It's the same idea as Soul Cycle apparently

I could probably be convinced...it's about to be time to get my bike legs back. :)
