My wedding date is June 4th. We've changed the date and venue a few times for several different reasons. We really want to have something simple so we decided to do the wedding at his family's lake house hoping it may end up being cheaper. From what I can tell it looks like we're going to end up spending just as much money or more than if we were doing it somewhere else. My mom is giving me a hard time b/c I don't want to buy a used dress that could be found in a newspaper and b/c I don't want to order my cake from Wal-Mart (not that there is anything wrong w/ their cakes). After seeing how frustrated I was tonight my fiance suggested that we just get married at the courthouse here and go on a nicer honeymoon. In a way that sounds amazing, but on the other hand I'm scared I'll regret it later. I know we'll be just as married either way but I've been looking forward to the actual wedding since I was a little girl. So what do you ladies think? Is the wedding worth the stress or now that its over do you wish you'd just taken the money and used it in other ways?
