blush wedding dress but ivory flower girl?

is this ok ? or would it be better if the flower girls were blush

Re: blush wedding dress but ivory flower girl?

  • It doesn't matter.  I actually prefer when flower girls wear colored gowns.  I don't get why flower girls wear white/ivory when the rest of the bridal party doesn't.  And a nice colored dress tends to hide stains better then a white/ivory dress does.

Honesty, I think dressing a little girl as a mini-blushing bride is creepy. But I don't think it matters in relation to what anyone else is wearing.

  • I second Maggie.  I don't think it matters if you wear blush and the flower girls wear ivory, but I would suggest going through your wedding colors and trying to find something for the girls that they might wear again.  White/ivory gowns are very high maintenance on small children.  I'm not sure that my sister and I ever wore our flower girl dresses again, except when we played dress up.  If you're buying the dresses, it's 100% up to you, but if their parents are, it might be worthwhile to have a sit down consult.  My sister was insistent on paying for my flower girl's dress, so I just let her choose whatever she wanted.  It worked out well and was completely drama free, but then I was only dealing with one parent.  Good luck with it.  xx

Blush and ivory go beautifully together.

  • Your wedding sounds lovely!
It's ultimately what you like. I think flower girls look adorable in any color. But I have seen flower girls in both pink and white and I think that would be perfect for your wedding. I hope this helps. :-)

*My favorite is the white ballerina top with pink tutu.

  • Blush and ivory will look nice together, but if you're concerned about the combo, what about having the flower girls wear a darker shade of pink? OR, what if they wore ivory dresses with pink accents, to tie to all together?

I like @MrsKrisia 's photos above too - The one on the right is similar to what our flower girls will be wearing.
