Favorite Candle Scent

Hey! It's been quite a while since I've posted anything here, but I'm back. When I first showed up, increasingly more frustrated by the lack of ring on my finger, everyone suggested a hobby. Knitting failed (arthritic hands just don't like it) and a job that demands 55 hour work weeks eliminated just about everything else. Somehow, collecting candles became the new thing. I know it's weird, I just can't dismiss the relief that occurs when a candle fills my house with a comforting scent.

So, give me your favorite candle scents!

Re: Favorite Candle Scent

  • I love anything citrus, but my favorite is grapefruit. It's so refreshing!
  • I like Lavender scents and also any seasonal scent is nice! I just bought some Spring potpourri and I'm in love with it!
  • Fresh laundry (is that a scent??) is my absolute favorite. I usually buy candles like "fresh linen" or "seaside cotton". So good. I also really love anything that smells like vanilla :)
  • I tend to go for the "fall" scents, but my absolute favorite is Cranberry.

Other favorites are: buttered rum, mulled cider, anything pumpkin, maple, spice, Christmas cookie/sugar cookie

  • I usually buy a "seasonal" smell for main rooms, but when I'm over those I like clean, fresh scents. I love the eucalyptus mint from BBW.

  • I like foodie scents (Spiced Apple Toddy for winter, Pineapple Mango for summer, etc.)  A friend just gave me a Eucalyptus Mint candle that I love, and another friend gave me a blue candle from Anthropologie that is nice.  Not my usual smells, but I like them!
  • I like bakery scents and lavender scents. I don't normally burn candles though, I melt wax in a warmer instead. I've set off the smoke alarm too many times with candles lol.

  • Anything with jasmine or orange blossom for me!
  • There's an Etsy shop that sells book-themed candles. I haven't tried one yet but I really want to order one! They have ones like Dumbledore's Office, The Shire, Ravenclaw Common Room. It sounds like a fabulous idea to me! Ordering one is my reward for reaching my next weight loss goal. I have high expectations so I hope they don't fall short!

Love the eucalyptus mint too! BBW is where it's at for candles. I went crazy at xmas and bought a couple dozen candles from there when they were on mega sale and I had coupons. Ended up getting the 3 wick candles for $5 each, down from regular price of $25 each. I tend to go with seasonal scents (marshamallow fireside, winter, and fresh balsam are great winter scents). Now that it's almost spring I'm breaking out cranberry peach bellini!
