I thought it would never get here! I'm going out of town to the beach for my bachelorette party this weekend, and I'm super excited even though it's supposed to rain the whole time. Right now I'm snuggling with my dog until it's time to head out. Also I got my first spray tan yesterday and I look great but smell weird, even after showering this morning.

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Hopefully a whole lotta nothing. I've gotta go to a bridesmaid dress fitting tomorrow morning, then, hopefully. nothing.

I feel like I've been on a drinking bender for the last two weeks. I need to dry out a bit.

H is actually going to a friend's OOT bachelor party this weekend so I have the house to myself. I'm going to unpack a little more (we moved in last weekend), watch girly movies, and eat whatever the hell I want. It will be glorious!

I'm going to the beach this weekend with DH and FIL and MIL. It's calling for rain all day today but I'm hoping it will be pretty tomorrow!

We have a friend staying at our house to watch the pets and he asked me to write down the instructions. I typed them out and it was 2 pages long. I may have went a little overboard!

FI and I are heading up to Tampa tomorrow to see What We Do in the Shadows, Jemaine Clement's (Flight of the Concords) new movie. We got a good deal on a hotel so we're making a little weekend out of it. On Sunday we'll probably go visit his parents and niece, and maybe check out the aquarium.

Have fun at your bachelorette party! I'm jealous that you and @emmaaa are both going to the beach this weekend. I need a beach weekend. Sigh.

 

Working from home today so that's a plus. I was supposed to have the day off but half of my office is out so I said I'd work at home while I'm waiting for our new furniture to get here. So far it's been quiet so hopefully I can get some housework done and get my workout in before H gets home.

 

Tonight we're going to a St. Patty's day party. Should be a good time - lots of food and beer on tap. Tomorrow is a day of running errands - new tires for my car and mattress shopping, along with grocery shopping so we're not reduced to eating condiments and shredded cheese for dinner tomorrow night. Sunday I'll finish cleaning the house. Not terribly exciting.

We have our final meeting with our venue tomorrow - yay!  I wish things would feel more "real" since it's getting so close, but I guess that will probably sneak up on me at some point during the next month? 

FSD is having a birthday sleepover with 4-5 girls at our house tomorrow night.  I may stock up on wine. 

Sunday I might have lunch plans with a friend, then I need to pick up supplies for the bathroom kits and my emergency kit for the bridal suite, along with some Bath and Body Works stuff for my bridesmaids.

Tonight, I'm not sure what we are doing FI has been sick with the stomach virus, feels better today, but I'm not sure if he will want to do something or just chill at the house.

Tomorrow I have a baby shower to go to and a 31 party to go to that one of my friends is hosting.

Then, possibly.....going to an indoor bounce house place with friends... cause yea... we're 3.

Tonight we have a charity casino night thing at a country club. It's just an excuse to dress up and drink, but I'm excited. 

Tomorrow, shopping with MIL, errands. Then a couple's shower for our friends getting married in May. 

Sunday we have H's step-sister's birthday brunch in NYC.

Tonight I am chilling at home, watching old eps of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, stretching my sore legs and crocheting.

Tomorrow I have a spin class at 8:30 am to all Florence and the Machine music and then I"m taking a painting class at noon because why not?  It's supposed to rain all day so I'll probably end up doing more crochet and watching movies.

Sunday I am doing a pilates reformer class with a friend and then a boozy brunch and then I maybe kinda sorta might have a date Sunday night.

Thanks!  I'm trying all these new things now that I'm single, so classes are my thing.  I"m taking gelato making next month too!

My brother's moving this weekend, and my mom has mentioned that I "don't need to go" in that voice that adds,"...but if you don't go I'm going to be pissy about it." So I'll probably have to help him move. I don't mind helping people move. I have moved enough times to know moving without help sucks. The issue is that they're moving a grand total of a mattress and dresser in as far as furniture goes, and just his sundries from the house he's in now, and there will be anywhere from 4-7 people there WITHOUT ME. I am an unnecessary cog in this machine. 

So yeah. My weekend will either consist of helping to move ONE box from the east side of the state to the west side, or being guilt tripped for not moving that box.

Happy Friday Knotties! It's Friday the 13 which means I told FI this morning that he can pick out one Jason movie for us to watch tonight. He loves scary movies and if it were up to him, we'd both be home from work today and having a Friday the 13th movie marathon all day. Fortunately, I have already done this with him years ago and now it's just one movie. 

And I'm making meatloaf with bacon on it. And drinking lots o wine.

I thought I'd be dealing with a bunch of annoying showings this weekend, but we already have 4 offers! Our realtor is asking for highest and best by noon tomorrow. 

H is in Florida for the weekend (lucky bastard) so I'm having a GNO tomorrow night (girls' night overnight)... I MIGHT try making ravioli for dinner, after Novella's mascarpone thread yesterday. Just gonna do fussy girly things... eat off the fine china with cloth napkins, do manicures, watch chick flicks in pajamas. I'm planning on making homemade ice cream too, and debating between an ice cream sundae bar with lots of candy and hot fudge, or root beer/cream soda floats with root beer vodka (for those not KU). 

Baby niecey-pie's first birthday party is on Sunday! I'm excited to see all the bebes, and tell my step-sisters in person about Tidbit.

I go to NOLA tomorrow.  I will be there for work until Thursday.     Tonight will be me doing laundry, cleaning and getting organized for my trip.

The day after I get back DH's friend comes in town for a weekend of skiing. So next weekend will be busy too.   Then 8 days after he leaves we go on vacation.      

I have a busy few weeks ahead of me.

I'm working half days Saturday and Sunday, and really late tonight. I finally got a tissue donor for my research which means I have to work a lot to deal with the tissue, but my research has been on hold for close to 5 months because I had no donors, so I'll happily work if it means I get closer to finishing my PhD.

Saturday afternoon is yoga and relaxing. Sunday evening we are having people over for raclette.

Today is my first fitting!!!!!!! I'm so excited, yay! Afterwards, we are going to our venue to do what they call a "Final" in which we will go over the menu, ceremony, seating arrangements, and any other details I guess we need to know about.

Also, my company just launched a new company intranet. It is like an internal company facebook. It's actually really cool. There goes my productivity.

Today's my last day at a job I don't love.  I only took this job to help pay the bills while I looked for the right job.  I'll take next week off and try to finalize as many wedding plans as possible. 
The following week, I start my Barbie Dream Job!  I'm so excited!  It's a great company, awesome people, perfect job... plus good pay and benefits.  Happy dance!!!

We saw him in November. Hilarious!

MIL's back in the hospital so we'll be visiting tonight. Tomorrow my cousin comes into town from Japan. He hasn't been in town since before I met DH so we'll gather everyone together for the afternoon/evening. I'll work Sunday until the evening when we do a (belated) birthday dinner with DH's family for The Kid. A busy weekend. I'm hoping I also have time to do meal prep for the week in order to survive Week 2 of Whole30.

@blabla89 Every time I get one I have them add a "scent" that is supposed to help with the smell. It does help a little but I still smell stale waffles.

Well aside from learning this morning that my FI had his identity stolen, it's been a good week!

Spring is beginning. the weather has been warm. Daylight savings time is on my side. I was able to start jogging again because the snow is melting. This evening I'm going to make an apple pie for pi day tomorrow (3.14.15), and I started corning a beef brisket in anticipation of St. Patty's Day next week. My parents are coming to visit this weekend and I'm going to my cousin's baby shower on Sunday. I've been shopping for baby stuff this week, which is totally adorable and uplifting. And wedding planning is all currently under control. It's Friday the 13th, but fortunately I'm not the superstitious type

peachy13, your FI and mine would be BFF. Last month when we had a Friday the 13th, he spent all week watching the movies. He is obsessed with horror.

Tonight FI and I are going to visit our friends who recently moved back to our town to see their new house. And then maybe we will watch a Friday the 13th

Tomorrow I just want to run some errands and do some things around the house. Tomorrow night I am heading downtown for a tapas dinner with my girls. It's St. Pat's weekend and Chicago always has a ton of stuff going on so I am hoping I don't hit anyone dressed in green with my car Streets are always a mess.

Sunday I have breakfast with some other friends and then a birthday dinner for my best friend/bridesmaid.

SO and I agreed that Saturday would be a reading day, but we'll still have to pick up the house and drop off stuff at goodwill.  It feels so good to get rid of stuff.  I've finished packing everything I can for now for the move, and I'm filing my taxes tonight to get them out of the way.  Sunday a friend is coming over and we're making dinner or dessert.  Or both.  Because, food.
