I'm probably going to do somewhat neutral with my makeup.  Mainly b/c I'm going to have a finger wave in my hair and possibly a fascinator.  I kind of keep thinking about going to get some blue eyelashes, just for fun, but that depends on which dress I chose.

This is a good tutorial!  I don't like Violet so far though.

I haven't gotten to watch the new season yet, but i was binge watching all of the past seasons over Christmas / NY. I have no idea why I didn't watch before. I have a friend from HS who is a fantastic queen, and I'd love to see him on Drag Race. He can sew and he's funny, so he'd probably do well in the challenges.

Seasons 2 and 6 are my favorite seasons, as well as generally agreed to be the strongest.  Raven and Bianca del Rio are my ultimate favorite queens on the show.

You'll need to find the "Untucked" specials.  You really get an insight into each queen's real personality.  Some of them are so catty and gross that it doesn't matter how well they do, you won't like them.  Others are just so genuine that you feel bad when they go home.

I think this season might end up being a "I don't care who wins as long as it's not that one".

My friend is a pretty well known "pageant queen" in the Pittsburgh area. I'm wondering if he/his friends were the ones that Sharon and Alaska's group didn't mesh with. I remember Sharon saying that he felt like he was ostracized by the local pageant queens.

There has been and always will be a split between the pageant queens and, well, everyone else.  Most pageant queens bore me.  I usually prefer an artsy or camp queen.  A major exception was Alyssa Edwards.  She just cracked me up.  She totally put on a helluva show when she was here too.  And she is TINY, but was so gracious in the meet n greet line.
